Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager who can lead end-to-end social impact research and consulting assignments. The role suits someone who enjoys turning complex development challenges into actionable insights, managing multi-stakeholder engagements, and delivering high-quality outputs for clients across the social sector, CSR, NGOs, foundations and government partners. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support research and consulting projects by coordinating planning, timelines and team activities, ensuring assignments move smoothly from initiation to completion.
  • Contribute to the development of research design, tools and frameworks by applying a strong understanding of both quantitative and qualitative methods suited to social and development sector studies.
  • Guide and oversee fieldwork preparation, including training teams, aligning processes and monitoring data quality to ensure reliable and well-documented primary data collection.
  • Work closely with internal teams to analyse quantitative and qualitative information, synthesise diverse inputs and convert evidence into clear insights and recommendations that inform client decisions.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and partner organisations throughout the project, ensuring expectations are aligned, updates are shared and emerging needs are addressed promptly.
  • Prepare well-structured reports, presentations and knowledge products that communicate findings in a clear, concise and meaningful manner for different audiences.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposal writing, particularly in the areas of methodology, sampling and work planning.


Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related fields.
  • 3–6 years of experience in social research, development sector, monitoring and evaluation or consulting.
  • Applied experience in field research, evaluation studies or policy research is preferred.
  • Strong writing skills with evidence of producing client-ready reports and presentations.
  • Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with analytical tools such as Power BI, STATA, SPSS or R.
  • Experience engaging with government stakeholders, CSR teams, NGOs or foundations.
  • Preferred experience across multiple thematic areas such as education, gender studies, maternal & child health, WASH, sustainability, etc.
