Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The consultant will provide technical and operational support for the implementation of the IPSI pilot project titled “A Pilot Model for Community-Based Public Health Intervention through Ayushman Aarogya Mandirs Using Jan Aarogya Samitis (JAS) in Fatehpur”. S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Supportive Supervision & Implementation;
(a) Conduct regular supportive supervision visits to intervention and control facilities to ensure adherence to project protocols, quality standards, and timely implementation of activities;
(2) Community-Based Screening and Engagement;
(a) Facilitate mapping of 30+ population for screening, oversee screening for hypertension (HTN) and diabetes mellitus (DM), and organize structured monthly JAS meetings focused on NCD management;
(3) Capacity Building & Community Mobilization;
(a) Support creation of Patient Support Groups (PSPs), conduct awareness and screening camps, and strengthen JAS functionality through microplanning and handholding;
(4) Qualitative Research & Documentation;
(a) Conduct in-depth interviews (IDIs) with community members and JAS members, and key
informant interviews (KIIs) with program managers to capture insights and learnings;
(5) Monitoring & Evaluation;
(a) Facilitate baseline and endline assessments at facility and community levels, including OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination), service utilization monitoring, and data-driven reviews;
(6) Reporting & Knowledge Management;
(a) Analyze collected data, prepare comprehensive reports, and document best practices and lessons learned for dissemination;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have a Master’s in Public Health and B.Sc. desired;
(2) At least 05 years of relevant experience;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a multicultural team;
(2) Ability to produce documents and coordinate activities independently;
(3) Excellent organizational skills required;
(4) Proficiency in Hindi and English languages;
(5) Demonstrated skills on communications and knowledge management;
(6) Proficiency in computer skills particularly MS Office;
(7) Willingness and flexibility to work on a wide range of tasks and travel;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 60,000/-) (Consultant CTC for 5.5 months, consultancy + M&IE + Stay + travel is INR 5,20,000/-).
6. LOCATION: Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh
7. REFERENCE: C-F-UP-INPO
8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of five months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
