Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The consultant will support for the based at Nagaland for the private sector initiative Manyata 5.0. The position will work closely with the district/state office teams and FOGSI officials to achieve the desired registration of private maternity hospitals in Nagaland with Manyata initiative. S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) To assist in comprehensive mapping of private maternity facilities across Nagaland;
(2) To initiate, establish, and strengthen coordination with key stakeholders in the state, including FOGSI representatives and relevant state government officials, to facilitate effective implementation of the Manyata program;
(3) To conduct awareness and sensitization activities for concerned stakeholders, including State Government authorities, FOGSI members, and private facility owners, regarding the objectives and processes of the Manyata program;
(4) To undertake systematic follow-up with private facility owners to ensure successful enrolment and registration under the Manyata program;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have Graduate in Medical/Nursing/Ayurveda. Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Public Health or Health Management will be preferred;
(2) Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in public health programs, with a focus on maternal and newborn health, reproductive health, and quality of care;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Familiarity with India’s health system, key stakeholders, and relevant government strategies, particularly the National Health Mission and FOGSI;
(2) Demonstrated skills in communication and advocacy for introduction and rollout of new programs;
(3) Excellent organizational and coordination skills;
(4) Proficiency in both Nagamese and English languages (written and spoken);
(5) Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 2,90,000/- (consultancy +M&IE+ Stay+ travel).

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of five months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
