Job Description

1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Nashik, Maharashtra.

 

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Consultant based at Nashik, Maharashtra for the private sector initiative Manyata 5.0. The position will work closely with the district and state office teams to achieve the desired outcomes of the program. S/he will be responsible for the following work;

 

Key Job Responsibilities: 


(1) Provide technical and operational support to implementation districts for program implementation as per the agreed plan and timelines of the project;
(2) Initiate, build and strengthen relationships with various stakeholders in the state to achieve program objectives;

(3) Assist in mapping of facilities in intervention districts, follow-up with the facility in charge for engagement into the program and support in certification;

(4) Facilitate project activities including demand generation activities, digital and Onsite trainings, workshop planning, logistics planning and management to ensure smooth project implementation;

(5) Travel to the program intervention districts in support of activity implementation and monitoring as needed;

(6) Work closely with supervisor for documenting various learnings, case studies, success stories under the project;

(7) Work closely with the district/state team in developing the learning resource package and support in maintaining complete database of the project activities;

(8) Support and coordinate timely collection, collation, compilation and dissemination of data pertaining to project;

(9) Ensure regular knowledge management of all program documents, including photos, documents, videos, reports, presentations, concept notes, government letters, event reports, IEC materials, etc;

(10) Perform other activities, as assigned by the supervisor to achieve organizational goals;


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience:

(1) Applicants must have a Graduate qualification in Medical/Nursing, Dental and Ayurveda. A Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Public Health or Health Management will be preferred;
(2) At least 2-3 years of experience working in public health programs, with a focus on maternal and newborn health, reproductive health, and quality of care;

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a multicultural team;
(2) Familiarity with India’s health system, key stakeholders, and relevant government strategies, particularly the National Health Mission (NHM);

(3) Ability to produce documents and coordinate activities independently;
(4) Excellent organizational skills required;

(5) Proficiency in Marathi and English languages;

(6) Demonstrated skills on communications and knowledge management;

(7) Proficiency in computer skills particularly MS Office;

(8) Willingness and flexibility to work on a wide range of tasks and travel;


5. CONSULTANCY FEE: One month consultancy fee INR 50,000/-) One Consultant CTC for 5 months 15 days INR 3,45,000/- (consultancy +M&IE+ Stay+ travel).

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:

 

The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of Six months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
