Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The consultant will be required to support in organizing the Consultations by drafting the concept note of the consultation, designing of the consultation, co-ordinate with NACO and SACS officials, prepare technical presentations and template for SACS presentations. S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Support planning and implementation of Sampoorna Suraksha Strategy (SSS) activities at the national level in coordination with NACO, Jhpiego, and State AIDS Control Societies (SACS);
(2) Facilitate organization of national consultations for:
(a) Development of SSS guidelines;
(b) Revamped Prevention technical guidelines under NACP;
(c) Pan-India EVTHS validation;
(3) Draft concept notes, agendas, and session designs for consultations;
(4) Prepare technical presentations, templates, and background documents for stakeholders and SACS;
(5) Coordinate logistics, communication, and follow-ups with NACO, SACS officials, and partners;
(6) Provide technical and analytical support related to prevention strategies and program scale-up;
(7) Document proceedings, discussions, and outcomes of consultations;
(8) Develop and submit consultation reports, assessment reports, and finalized documentation sets;
(9) Ensure proper compilation and organization of all technical files for future program processes;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have a Master’s degree in social work/ social sciences/ public health/or any other related field from a recognized University/ Institute. Preference will be given to a Ph.D holder;
(2) Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in public Health / infectious disease at National level;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Preference will be given who has HIV/STI experience at National level and worked with government stakeholders at National and State level, excellent knowledge of NACP and SSS.
(2) Have experience of leading large-scale health programs and experience of multistakeholder management;
(3) Experience of producing high-quality knowledge products;
(4) Excellent communication skills to engage with government stakeholders, donors, vendors, and internal teams;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 619,850/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of two months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
