Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The consultant will be responsible for providing support for the convening event at IMNCH 2026, shaping the narrative, designing the convening experience, supporting communications and knowledge products, and laying the ground work for sustained post-event engagement. S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Strategic Positioning & Narrative Development:
(a) Develop and refine the overall positioning strategy for the convening including core framing, language, and narrative arcs suitable for governments, funders, and global partners;
(b) Support finalisation of the event title, subtitle, and key messages to ensure consistency across convening, communications, and post-event products;
(2) Event Curation & Experience Design:
(a) Curate and design the IMNCH convening;
(b) Design the agenda, flow, and discussion architecture to enable strategic exchange, alignment, and shared ownership - maximising dialogue;
(c) Support identification and curation of speakers and participants to ensure balance across government leadership, funders, implementers, and technical voices;
(d) Develop facilitation notes, speaker briefs, and guiding questions aligned to the positioning and objectives of the convening;
(3) Communications & Knowledge Management Support:
(a) Identify and support development of key communications and KM products linked to the launch;
(b) Support in creating a social media buzz and developing collaterals;
(c) Ensure all products are aligned to the agreed positioning and usable for both internal and external audiences;
(d) Advise and further develop on how the convening and its outputs can be translated into ongoing narrative assets (e.g., briefs, blogs, partner updates, learning notes);
(4) Post-Event Dialogue & Continuity Planning:
(a) Support design of a post-event engagement pathway, including potential follow-on dialogues, learning series, or partner touchpoints;
(b) Outline options for partners to anchor or support continued conversation, knowledge exchange, and alignment;
(c) Propose and Develop a roadmap for sustaining momentum beyond IMNCH 2026;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have an Advanced degree in public health, health policy, international development, communications for development, or a related field;
(2) Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in global health, with demonstrated leadership in:
(a) Strategic positioning and narrative development;
(b) High-level convening design and curation;
(c) Communications and knowledge management for policy and partner audiences;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Proven experience working with government counterparts, multilateral agencies, philanthropic funders, and technical partners;
(2) Experience supporting global or regional moments (e.g., international congresses, summits, ministerial forums) preferred;
(3) Technical, programmatic knowledge and understanding of health programs;
(4) Ability to produce documents and reports of professional quality and coordinate activities independently;
(5) Ability to develop productive working relationships with other team members, agencies, stakeholders, and other organizations;
(6) Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi is required;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 10,00,000/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of two months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
