Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Public Health Consultant - Hindi Translator to support Hindi translation of fully designed communication package that has been developed in English for the introduction of the HPV vaccine. and she/he will be responsible the following tasks:

Key Job Responsibilities: 

(1) Hindi translation of all communication materials from English, ensuring accuracy and contextual appropriateness;
(2) Proofreading and quality assurance of translated content;

(3) Integration of Hindi text into the existing designed files, maintaining the same layout, formatting, and visual consistency as the English versions;

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications and Experience
(1) Applicant must have Master’s degree in public health, Social Sciences, Communication, or related field;

(2) Experience of Working in Hindi speaking states in health or immunization programs;

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Prior experience on development of modules/documents/guidelines in Hindi language for health programs;
(2) Hindi Translation & Localization (English → Hindi);

(3) Content Proofreading & Linguistic Quality Assurance;

(4) Language Accuracy & Contextual Adaptation;

(5) Technical and Communication Material Translation;

(6) Basic understanding of digital tools (MS Word, Google Docs, CAT tools, etc.);

5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The overall consultancy fee budgeted for the assignment, for the period of two months, is INR 1,40,000/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:

The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of Two months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
