Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Telangana.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The consultant will provide technical assistance in data management and analysis to strengthen the RISE HIV project and will closely work with the National/ state team. S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Develop performance indicators reporting tool;
(2) Prepare District Epidemiological Profile (DEP) for Telangana;
(3) Advisory support and technical assistance;
(4) Donor reporting and Knowledge products;
(5) Scientific writing and learning documents;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have a Master degree (preferably PhD, not essential) in Public Health/ Population Studies/ Statistics/ Health Statistics or related subjects;
(2) At least 5 years of relevant professional experience of working with National or International HIV/AIDS public health programs especially in the field of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Data Analysis related activities;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Existing publications in international peer reviewed journals, presentations at international
public health related conferences of repute;
(2) Understanding of global health, India’s public health structures and functions, and development approaches with willingness to learn;
(3) Experience working in collaboration with the Indian Government and International Public Health agencies;
(4) Experience working with US donor-funded programs, and PEPFAR is desirable;
(5) Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a multicultural team;
(6) Ability to produce documents and coordinate activities independently;
(7) Excellent organizational skills required;
(8) Proficiency in Hindi, English and preferably local state languages;
(9) Demonstrated skills on communications and knowledge management;
(10) Proficiency in computer skills particularly MS Office;
(11) Willingness and flexibility to work on a wide range of tasks and travel;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Consultancy budgeted for the position is INR 7,83,700/- including Consultancy fee + Travel.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of Three months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
