1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant - Program Evaluation, International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Public Health Consultant - Program Evaluation will be responsible for the following tasks:
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Lead the drafting and finalization of the Program Evaluation Report, including leading the activities below;
(a) Conduct secondary analysis on available program and service uptake data, and interpret & discuss the results, to contribute to program evaluation;
(b) Conduct thematic analysis on collected qualitative data, interpret and discuss the results for contributing to program evaluation;
(c) Triangulate quantitative and qualitative data, interpret and discuss the results for contributing to the program evaluation;
(2) Support in drafting a scientific manuscript based on the program evaluation, for submission to a peer reviewed journal;
(3) Support in documentation of various project results & processes, and development of success stories and fact sheets for strategic sharing and dissemination;
(4) Ensure quality, consistency and adherence to best practices for M&E across the program, including data quality use in the reports;
(5) Support supervisor on any other activities pertaining to Program Evaluation or the Program Closure report, as required;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience
(1) Applicant must have Bachelor’s degree in health with mandatory. Master’s in epidemiology, statistics or public health/ Health Informatics/ Population Studies, Health Management or related subjects;
(2) At least 5 years’ experience relevant professional experience of working with an international/national public health organization or academic institute, experience particularly in the field of evaluation and research;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Existing publications in international peer reviewed journals, presentations at international public health related conferences of repute;
(2) Understanding of global health, India’s public health structures and functions, and development approaches with willingness to learn;
(3) Good analytical and scientific writing skills;
(4) Ability to analyse quantitative data using standard software’s like SPSS/STATA/R.;
(5) Ability to use qualitative data analysis software’s will be an added advantage;
(6) Excellent oral and written communication skills:
(7) Comfortable with working in a multicultural team;
(8) Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi are required. Proficiency in writing and editing reports and documents;
(9) Excellent organizational skills;
(10) Ability to travel as needed;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The overall consultancy fee budgeted for the assignment, for the period of One month 15 days, is INR 2,80,000/-.
6. LOCATION: New Delhi

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of One month 15 days. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
