Job Description

1. POSITION VACANT: Field Operation Reporting, CSR Foundation, Mumbai

Our client is a leading Indian CSR organization driving inclusive development through impactful programs in Rural Transformation, Education, Health, Women Empowerment, Disaster Management, Urban Renewal, and Arts, Culture & Heritage in collaboration with public, private, and community partners.

 

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Monitoring and Reporting Team member is to support the TL and other team members in checking quality of the data coming from the field and ensuring the quality as per the data quality guidelines and SOPs. The team member will work closely with the field teams to understand the context and ensure the smooth data flow from the field to the HO level within the Foundation’s MIS. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Provide field-level support for implementation of internal and external studies, data collection, and rapid assessments across all programs.

(2) Ensure compliance, accuracy, reliability, and completeness of field data through desk reviews, field validations, and triangulation of data sources.

(3) Conduct assessments to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and relevance of programme interventions, documenting systematic observations for learning.

(4) Plan, conduct, and supervise outcome monitoring activities to ensure high-quality data capture for programme reporting and improvement.

(5) Assist in developing data collection tools and forms for monitoring, evaluations, and assessments in collaboration with programme teams.

(6) Facilitate capacity building of implementation teams and field staff on programme activities, outputs, reporting requirements, data quality standards, monitoring tools, and means of verification.

(7) Promote knowledge sharing among implementing partners by disseminating key observations, learnings, and good practices derived from monitoring activities.

(8) Analyze programme MIS data periodically and present findings to stakeholders to inform programme decisions and strategic refinements.

(9) Support preparation and timely submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports, ensuring updated State factsheets for communication with stakeholders.

(10) Document transformation stories, case studies, and best practices in written, photographic, or video form across assigned programmes and locations.

(11) Liaise with programme teams to facilitate studies, support dissemination of findings, and integrate recommendations into programme implementation.

(12) Oversee and monitor third-party agencies engaged for monitoring or evaluation assignments to ensure quality and compliance with agreed ToR.

(13) Implement monitoring frameworks, guidance, and SOPs in collaboration with programme and field teams to systematize data collection and reporting processes.

(14) Escalate discrepancies, data quality issues, and field challenges timely, adhering to organizational escalation protocols.

(15) Contribute to the development and piloting of innovative monitoring tools, methods, and processes to improve data capture efficiency and effectiveness.

(16) Adopt a research mindset to analyze processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements for monitoring and evaluation systems.

(17) Participate in programme reviews, learning workshops, and dissemination meetings to share monitoring insights and contribute to organisational learning. 

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualification:

(1) Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Rural Development, Development Studies, Social Work, Agriculture Extension, or related disciplines.

(2) Master’s degree in social work, Rural Management, Development Studies, or related fields.

(3) Education or coursework in Monitoring & Evaluation, or Research Methods.

 

Experience:
Minimum 4 years’ experience in similar CSR or NGO/INGO experience.

 

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Demonstrated capacity to rapidly Acquire New Knowledge.

(2) Excels in analytical thinking and structured problem-solving.

 

5. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

 

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
