training
Background
The Borlaug Institute for South Asia (BISA) is a non-profit public international organization focused on research to food, nutrition research and livelihood security as well as environmental rehabilitation in South Asia, which is home to more than 300 million undernourished people. BISA is a collaborative effort involving the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) and the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR). The objective of BISA is to harness the latest technology in agriculture to improve farm productivity and sustainably meet the demands of the future.
BISA has its head office in Delhi and three farms in the districts of Ludhiana (Punjab), Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) and Samastipur (Bihar) where research and seed production activities are performed.
BISA invites your firm to submit the proposals for conducting “Organization Compliance & Office Etiquette training” at its research centre in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh to be organised in the first week of December 2025.
Scope of Work:
A. Purpose: To equip staff with the knowledge and skills required to:
- Understand and follow key organizational compliance requirements.
- Demonstrate professional office etiquette in daily workplace interactions.
- Reduce compliance risks and foster a culture of respect, discipline, and productivity.
B. Participants (Approx 100): - All staff members across departments (non-managerial and supervisory levels).
C. Duration: - One day (8 hours) including breaks.
D. Mode of training: In-person/ Hybrid
E. Location: Jabalpur
F. Training Coverage
1. Organizational Compliance
i. Code of Conduct & Ethics - Anti-Fraud, Anti-Corruption & Anti-Bribery Policy
- Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Policy
- Integrity and transparency in decision-making
- Anti-trafficking in persons
- Safeguarding children and adults at risk.
ii. Conflict of Interest
iii. Raising Concerns, Misconduct Reporting, and Corrective Action
iv. Zero Tolerance towards bullying, harassment of any kind, exploitation etc.
v. Cybersecurity - Confidentiality of Employee & Business Data
- Responsible Use of IT Systems
- Email, internet, and software usage policies
2. Office Etiquette
i. Professional Conduct
- Punctuality, time management, and accountability.
- Respectful Workplace
ii. Communication Etiquette
- Verbal Communication: Polite language, tone, and choice of words, and active listening skills.
- Written Communication: Email drafting etiquette (subject lines, clarity, tone, professionalism). Use of instant messaging/chat at workplace.
iii. Meeting & Team Etiquette and Collaboration
- Respect for colleagues, seniors, and subordinates. Acknowledging diversity and cultural sensitivity.
- Conflict resolution: handling disagreements respectfully. Sharing credit and supporting team members

iv. Workspace and Ethical Etiquette & Integrity
- Respecting common areas (cafeteria, meeting rooms, etc.), noise control in open office spaces.
- Respecting privacy of colleagues, respect for organizational policies and hierarchy.

G. Training Methodology
- Role plays and situational group exercises (greetings, email practice, meeting role-play)
- Self-reflection activities (identifying personal improvement areas)
- Case study discussions on real-life compliance and etiquette issues.

H. Deliverables
- One-day on-site training session for staff.
- Training Need Analysis through questionnaires.
- Designing the program through simple training materials/handouts (in English/Hindi as needed).

- Improved awareness of workplace rules and compliance obligations.
- Reduction in compliance-related mistakes and misconduct.
- Better discipline, teamwork, and communication at staff level.
- A more respectful, safe, and efficient work environment.

J. Required Skills:
- Must have proven experience in delivering such training.
- Must have capable and certified trainers having expertise on the subject.
- Selection of service provider for purchase of goods/ services will be done at the sole discretion of BISA. This RFQ may also be cancelled at any time without any prior notice to service provider (s) at the discretion of BISA’s Management without any liability to BISA whatsoever. E-mail or Telephonic queries with regards to selection process/progress of the procurement will not be entertained.
- The potential vendor/s may be asked to give a presentation of their product/services to the concern person/s at BISA as a part of the evaluation of the proposal submitted.
- The list of documents required for financial evaluation are just indicative. Further details could be asked by BISA to examine the quotes in detail.

- Any mis-statement in the financial proposals will lead to debarring of the Vendors from all future procurements at BISA.

- Should be capable of setting training sessions in-person nationwide in terms of geographic, cultural (etc.) diversification.

- The signed quotation on organization’s letterhead (printed) should be sent to above mentioned email address; handwritten quotations will not be accepted for the selection process.
- Envelope should be superscribed as “Quote for organising Organization Compliance & Office Etiquette training”
- GST should be mentioned separately.
- Service charge/Extras should be clearly mentioned.
- Payment terms should be mentioned: Preferably after the training.
- Validity of Quote should be clearly mentioned as 60 days.
