ORGANISATION BACKGROUND:
The Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) is committed to strengthening, reviving, and/or restoring, the process of ecological succession and the conservation of land, forest and water resources in ecologically fragile, degraded and marginalised regions in India, through the collective efforts of village communities. Spread across diverse ecological and social geographies, FES also works towards the conservation of nature and natural resources through the collective action of local communities. The crux of FES efforts lies in locating forests and other natural resources within the prevailing economic, social and ecological dynamics in rural landscapes.

FES invites proposals from reputed Audit firms with NGO experience & having office in vicinity for quarterly audits for their Projects which are spread in different states (Listed below) across India. Overall average annual turnover is approximately between 5-7 Crore per state office except for Rajasthan and Orisha where it reached to 15-20 crore. FES have project offices in the following cities/towns:  

• Bhilwara in the state of Rajasthan, 
• Santrampur in Gujarat, 
• Mandla in Madhya-Pradesh, 
• Bhubaneshwar in Orisha (In addition to Angul and Koraput), 
• Raipur in Chhattisgarh, 
• Madanapalle in Andhra Pradesh, 
• Chintamani in Karnataka, 
• Yavatmal in Maharashtra, 
• Guwahati/Meghalaya in North East, 

Scope of Audit

• Compliance with statutory & Donor requirements
• Verification of fund utilization
• Review of internal controls & procurement
• Documentation & field verification
• 3-5 days on site visit (excluding travel days) during the quarterly review. 
• Detail scope of internal Audit will be shared upon inquiry. 

Eligibility Criteria

• Registered CA firm in India with 5+ years NGO audit experience
• Having offices in Vicinity of FES Office locations. 
• Familiarity with NGO specific audit norms
• Qualified team with sectoral knowledge
• No conflict of interest with FES
• At least three professional references from client. 

Proposal Must Include

• Audit methodology
• Team composition & CVs
• Past NGO audit experience
• Detailed fee quotations, Project/state- wise (Listed above).  
• Audit timelines
• Declaration of independence
