RFP from Reputed Agencies/consultant/s to Conduct an external evaluation for the project supported by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and TDH

Terre des Hommes (TDH) Germany, an international organization dedicated to children’s rights, invites proposals for an external mid-term evaluation of the project titled “Gender Nutrition: Equal Access to Sufficient and Healthy Food Strengthens the Food Security of Women and Young Children” in India. The project is jointly funded by Terre des Hommes Germany and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)

The project is designed to address long-standing challenges in 100 villages of the Surguja district in Chhattisgarh. It empowers community members—including women, youth, adolescent girls, and children—to understand their nutritional needs in the context of factors such as patriarchy, food availability, access, and control. The initiative also aims to strengthen local food systems by documenting traditional practices and promoting the importance of diversified diets and nutrition. 

In addition, the project engages with local government departments to ensure the timely delivery of services under the National Food Security Act. A community-based model for addressing malnutrition will be developed and presented to the government for potential integration. Ultimately, the project seeks to promote gender justice in access to and consumption of food at the household level by challenging entrenched patriarchal systems 

The duration of the consultancy is for 21 days and is expected to be finalized by 28-02-2026

The Terms of Reference (TOR) for the consulting services and other details are outlined in the attached RFP. Interested agencies need to send their Technical and Financial Proposal along with the CVs (not more than 3 pages) of her/his team members to: tdhgip2021@gmail.com. 

The organization should have at least a minimum of 8 years of experience in conducting research, evaluations, and report writing, with a strong preference for work related to food security, health nutrition, and child rights.

Proposals submitted after the last date/incomplete proposals will be rejected. Only shortlisted agencies will be contacted for further selection process.
