Project Background

 

Despite rising enrollment rates in schools across India, the quality of education and student engagement remain a concern. Reports show that students, especially in government schools, face challenges such as poor academic performance, low self-esteem, a lack of gender sensitivity, and limited exposure to real-world applications of education.

 

Mamta Health Institute for Mother and Child (MAMTA HIMC), with experience in working across 1700+ schools, proposes an intervention in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, to bridge these gaps. The project aims to integrate schools with advanced STEM labs to encourage curiosity, innovation, creativity, and analytical skills among students. Exposer Visits to diverse STEM labs will enable students to expand their horizons and gain practical knowledge from various institutions.

The initiative aligns with government programs such as Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and School Health Program and will be implemented in 490 schools, creating a sustainable impact at both the student and community levels.

 

PURPOSE

 

The purpose of this initiative is to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-life skills by integrating STEM education with personal and social development. Organising an exposer visit of students to diverse STEM labs across the city will stimulate their curiosity and learning of STEM education. The initiative will create a student-centered ecosystem that improves educational outcomes while promoting healthy and inclusive behaviors.

 

OBJECTIVES

  1. To provide students with exposer visits to diverse institutes of Science and Technology, stimulating their curiosity and learning.
  2. To provide equal learning opportunities by familiarizing students with new equipment and technology available in various institutions. 
  3. To increase knowledge about STEM Education through seminars with guest scientists using their expertise as curriculum.
  4. To encourage students to exchange ideas and innovative methods and enhance their networking skills with other students and teachers.
  5. To prepare students for documentation of their experience and to reflect on their learnings gained from the Exposer visit and seminars.
  6. To document best practices and share with departments and community institutions for replication and sustainability

Deliverable:

  1. To Identifying Institutes/museum of Science and Technology for an exposer visit to ignite student’s curiosity and motivation towards Science.
  2. Securing official permission from identified institutes for smooth and hassle free exposer visit.
  3. Organizing an Exposer visit for 10 students and 10 teachers and staffs from each 490 government schools to diverse Science Institutes and museum of Science and Technology.
  4. Prefer EV/CNG vehicle with our branding for travel of students to designated institutes for Exposer visit.
  5. Providing students with Refreshments during the visits.
  6. Exposer Visit will be limited to 2 visits per school in the project period of July-January 2026.
  7. On-travel meet with guest scientists, engaging students to enhance their knowledge on STEM education.

Intellectual property

 

All information about this project, which the firm may come into contact with in the performance of its duties under this consultancy, shall remain the property of MAMTA, which has exclusive rights over its use. Except for this assignment, the information shall not be disclosed to the public nor used without the written permission of MAMTA HIMC.

 

Timeline and Payment Schedule

 

The agency/institute/company shall be hired based on the financial proposal developed for this assignment and will work closely with the MAMTA HIMC team. The payment terms will be mutually decided by the selected agency and MAMTA. Payments within fifteen days would be released only after the completion and submission of all the required deliverables and invoices.

 

Application Procedure

  1. A letter stating your interest in the current assignment.
  2. Financial proposal in INR based on attached Annexure.
  3. Past experiences of having conducted similar kinds of work.
  4. GST certification with HSN code.

All applicants (company/agency/institutional), should follow the Government of India guidelines/policy for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) at the workplace. As part of the application process, you are required to share the status of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). In case the committee is not incorporated, the reasons for it not being enacted.

 

Interested agencies/organisations/individuals must submit a proposal, highlighting the process, portfolio of past work, financial proposal, and the timeline for the project. The financial quotations should be sent in soft copy over email at rfp@mamtahimc.in.Incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will not be considered for the selection process. The selection team will only contact applicants who have been shortlisted for the process.

 

Mamta HIMC has a policy of erasing all confidential information and ideas/concepts submitted in proposals/applications after the selection process is completed. "Confidentiality of Applicants"Mamta shall not be liable to share the list of shortlisted applicants with any party outside the organization. The organization takes all necessary measures to protect the confidentiality of applicants and shall not disclose any personal information, process, or data related to the application, except as required by law.

 

Evaluation Criteria

 

Proposals will be evaluated based on a weighting of 80% for the technical proposal and 20% for the financial proposal, assessed according to the following criteria:

  • Organizational Experience: previous experience of organising science exposer and seminars for students.
  • Technical Proposal: Clarity in understanding project objectives, quality of approach, and sustainability protocol.
  • Past Performance and References: Demonstrated impact and client satisfaction in similar past projects, supported by references or testimonials.
  • Cost Effectiveness: Competitive and reasonable financial proposal with clear cost breakup and long-term sustainability measures.
