Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Conducting Nukkad Natal (Folk Role Plays)

1. Objective

The Institute for Global Development (IGD) invites quotations from eligible agencies, organizations, or individuals for conducting Nukkad Natak (folk role plays) across 3 intervention districts in Uttar Pradesh (India). The purpose of this activity is to promote awareness towards iron deficiency anemia, health and dietary practices.   

2. Implementation Coverage  

  • Dates: 17th November 2025 to 30th November 2025 (simultaneously in the three districts)
  • Districts: Bahraich, Chandauli, and Gorakhpur
  • Total Number of Shows: 50 shows per district (approximately 4 shows per day) in 12-15 days 

3. Scope of Work

The selected agency/organization/individual will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting 50 folk role plays (Nukkad Natak) per district.
  2. Forming a minimum 5-member team, including at least 2 female members, for each Nukkad Natak group.
  3. Performing in the local language of the respective district to ensure effective community engagement.
  4. Coordinating closely with IGD’s state and district teams for content, message approval, and scheduling.
  5. Ensuring cultural appropriateness, community participation, and accurate message delivery.
  6. Submitting a detailed report after completing all assigned events, including photos, audience details, feedback, and activity summaries, prior to final payment.
  7. Managing all logistics, travel, accommodation, and food independently. IGD will not provide any logistic, travel, or food allowance.
  8. Nukkad Natak groups with prior experience working in plays related to health are encouraged to apply.
  9. Nukkad Natak groups capable of conducting performances simultaneously across all three intervention districts (Bahraich, Chandauli, and Gorakhpur) are strongly encouraged to apply.
  10. However, groups interested in implementing the activity in any one district may also submit their quotations and will be considered accordingly. 

4.Terms and Conditions  

  1. Each state-level agency will implement the Kalajatha activities in the designated number of districts.
  2. The agency must complete all 50 role plays per district within the timeframe i.e. 17th November 2025 to 30th November 2025, in all three districts simultaneously.
  3. The financial quotation must cover artist honorarium, costumes, logistics, travel, and all other expenses.
  4. Applicable taxes and deductions will be as per Government of India norms.
  5. Quotations must be submitted on the agency’s letterhead, inclusive of GST; quotations without GST details will not be considered.

5. Compliance Requirements (PoSH)

All applicants must adhere to the Government of India’s Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) guidelines. Strict PoSH compliance is mandatory during all Nukkad Natak activities. Any violation will lead to termination of the contract. 

6 Other Instructions  

  • IGD reserves the right to reject any or all quotations, wholly or partly, without assigning any reason.
  • IGD reserves the right to invite the top three shortlisted agencies per state for discussions or negotiations.
  • IGD may request clarifications or additional documents during the evaluation process.
  • Only shortlisted agencies will be contacted.
  • All sub-vendor payments must be cleared before final bill submission to IGD.
  • IGD shall not be legally bound by any award notice until a formal agreement is signed and executed with the selected agency.
  • Additional details, including approved themes, scripts, and reporting formats, will be shared with shortlisted agencies. 

7. Submission Guidelines

Interested agencies, organizations, or individuals must submit the following by 9th November 2025:

  • Technical proposal outlining approach, experience, and implementation plan per state
  • Portfolio of past work (preferably in folk theatre, community mobilization, or awareness programs)
  • Financial quotation (inclusive of all costs and GST)
  • PoSH compliance and ICC details
