1.  About Partnering Hope Into Action Foundation

Partnering Hope into Action Foundation (PHIA Foundation) was officially registered in 2005.  2. Project Brief & Geographical Coverage

PHIA Foundation is implementing Project in Khaltsi, covering six village of Leh district. Khaltsi region has been chosen due to its unique combination of cultural significance, livelihood challenges, and climate vulnerability. This region is home to rich traditional practices such as stone carving and apricot farming, which are integral to Ladakh’s heritage but are at risk of decline due to lack of modernization and poor market linkages. 

To enhance the productivity, safety, and precision of stone carving artisans in Khaltsi block by equipping the community centre with modern tools, advanced machinery, and essential infrastructure. This intervention aims to preserve traditional craftsmanship while promoting sustainable livelihoods.

Installation and Setup 12th December 2025
Training Completion 30th January 2026

5.    Eligibility Criteria for Vendors

  • Proven experience in supplying and installing stone carving or industrial equipment in Leh, Ladakh.
  • Ability to provide after-sales service and warranty support.
  • GST registration and compliance with government procurement norms
  • Capacity to deliver and install in remote locations of Ladakh

     6.    Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • All equipment must meet BIS/ISO standards
  • Safety gear must comply with occupational safety norms
  • Installation must be certified by a qualified technician
  • Any defective items must be replaced within 10 days of delivery
