TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR) FOR OAK FOUNDATION PROJECT BROCHURE
A) Background
Water For People India, a leading non-profit organization in the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector, has been at the forefront of building inclusive and resilient WASH ecosystems across India since its inception. The organization commenced its operations in West Bengal in 1996. Consistent with its global vision — a world where every person has access to reliable and safe water and sanitation services — and mission to promote high-quality, community-sustained WASH services. To date, nearly 2.7 million people have directly benefitted from its integrated community drinking water, sanitation, and WASH initiatives. By 2030, the organization aspires to reach 10 million lives.
Water For People India has been implementing the Oak Foundation-supported project focusing on climate-resilient, community-led water and sanitation interventions in the Indian Sundarbans region. The initiative aims to strengthen access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services while promoting sustainable water resource management and livelihood resilience in climate-vulnerable communities. The brochure will serve as a key communication tool to highlight the vision, mission, and impact of Water For People under the Oak Foundation project. It will showcase field stories, outcomes, and photographs that reflect community transformation, gender inclusion, and sustainability in water governance.
B) Objectives
- To create an informative, visually appealing, and engaging brochure that communicates the core essence of the Oak Foundation Project.
- To showcase the project’s mission, key achievements, and impact stories in a concise and accessible format.
- To ensure the brochure aligns with Water For People’s branding and communication standards.
- To produce both digital and print-ready versions suitable for dissemination among govt. departments, other agencies and stakeholders.
C) Key Tasks:
1. Content Development- Summarize the Oak Foundation project’s objectives, approach, and impact areas.
- Collect and refine short success stories, community quotes, and field visuals.
- Develop a professional, creative layout that aligns with Water For People’s brand guidelines.
- Include curated high-quality images, infographics, and community testimonials that vividly capture project achievements and human stories.
- Share draft brochure content structure, including key messages, visuals, and layout for initial review and feedback.
- Incorporate suggestions and finalize content and design.
- Deliver final brochure files in high-resolution print and digital formats.
- Ensure quality standards suitable for professional printing and distribution.
5. Deliverables - Professionally designed and formatted Project brochure in both print-ready (high-resolution PDF) and digital (interactive PDF/e-brochure) formats, fully aligned with Water For People’s branding guidelines.
Submit the final editable working files for future updates and repurpose.
