Who We Are

Invisible Girl Project (IGP) is a US-based non-profit organisation whose mission is to save girls’ lives in India and end female gendercide. IGP partners with Indian grassroots organisations to protect girls from sex-selective abortion, female infanticide, neglect, child marriage, trafficking, and related harms.

Purpose of This Grant

IGP invites proposals from eligible Indian non-profit organisations to deliver awareness and preventive education programmes on Protection and Promotion of the Girl Child. The total available grant is Rs. 12,50,000/-for a 6-month period (July to December 2026).

What We Are Looking For

• Organisations working on girl child rights, women’s empowerment, or children’s rights with at least 3 years of experience
• Demonstrated capacity to conduct community awareness programmes and training
• Operational presence in priority districts (see Section 2A of the full RFP)
• Valid FCRA registration and compliance, this is mandatory for all applicants
• Organisational policies on child protection, safeguarding, and POSH

Key Activities

• Community awareness sessions on female gendercide
• Awareness, Trainings, Workshops for adolescent groups
• Sessions in School and college programmes
• Sensitisation of government personnel (Police, Social Welfare, Child Protection)
• Documentation, reporting, and monitoring

Key Eligibility Requirements

• Registered under Societies Act / Trusts Act / Companies Act (Section 8)
• Valid FCRA Registration and designated FCRA Bank Account with SBI (MANDATORY)
• PAN, 12A, and 80G certificates
• Minimum 3 years’ organisational experience in relevant thematic areas
• Audited financials for last 3 years; annual turnover Rs. 5 lakh–1.5 crore
• Child Protection Policy, POSH Policy, and safe reporting mechanisms in place
