Job Description

1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant - Advisor/Technical Expert, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

 

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Consultant - Advisor/Technical Expert (Treatment) in collaboration with MDACS will provide technical supportive supervision and mentoring to all health care facilities in the

assigned geography. S/he will be responsible for the following work;

 

Key Job Responsibilities: 


(1) Conducting regular field visits to ART centres and other associated facilities to provide technical assistance, supportive supervision & mentoring support to ensure adoption of

strategies as per technical and operational guidelines;


(2) Provide technical assistance to MDACS address the probable gaps in patient care affecting quality of services provided at selected sites;


(3) Provide technical inputs in proposed feasible new innovative interventions to improve retention, adherence and viral load suppression at selected sites and support implementation of these solutions;


(4) Provide technical assistance in strengthening Viral load linkages, ADM, SACEP linkages and CoE mechanisms in Mumbai for sustained viral load suppression efforts;

(5) Assist MDACS in coordination with other health depts like NTEP, NCD etc & other key stakeholders for comorbidity related conditions;


(6) Assist in training programs of NACP & MDACS;

(7) Any other work assigned by supervisor within ambit of the Project;


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have M.B.B.S, MPH and 5+years of experience in working with CST services under NACP;
(2) At least 10 years of relevant work experience;

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Excellent written and oral communication, liaison and negotiation skills;
(2) Self-motivated, with a strong ability and drive to lead project activities independently with minimal supervision;
(3) Knowledge of Marathi language;

(4) Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a multicultural;
(5) Ability to produce documents and coordinate activities independently;

(6) Self-motivated, with a strong ability and drive to lead project activities independently with minimal supervision;


5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 20.30 - 36.70 Lacs.

 

6. LOCATION: Mumbai, Maharashtra

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:

 

The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of Three months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
