Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant - Backend Developer, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Remote.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Backend Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing the server-side architecture, database structure, APIs, authentication mechanisms, role-based access control, and system security for the AOFOG QoC Web Portal. she/he will be responsible the following tasks:
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Design scalable backend architecture following modular and secure development practices;
(2) Design and implement database schema including user management, content repository, mentorship records, community discussions, events, and dashboards;
(3) Develop RESTful APIs for all portal modules;
(4) Implement secure authentication system using JWT/OAuth with password encryption and session management:
(5) Develop Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) framework for Guest, Member, Mentor, and administrator;
(6) Develop CRUD APIs for content management (documents, guidelines, events, mentorship listings, community posts);
(7) Implement global search functionality with filtering and tagging logic;
(8) Develop dashboard data aggregation services and analytics endpoints;
(9) Implement audit logs and activity tracking for administrative monitoring;
(10) Ensure application security including input validation, protection against SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF;
(11) Perform performance optimization including indexing, caching, and query optimization;
(12) Support deployment, server configuration guidance, and UAT issue resolution;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience
(1) Applicant must BCA/ MCA/ B.Tech;
(2) At least 05 years relevant experience related to SOW;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Responsive and mobile-friendly design;
(2) Multi-language support;
(3) Role-Based Access Control (RBAC);
(4) Secure authentication and data protection;
(5) Global search with filtering and tagging;
(6) Content categorization and version control;
(7) Analytics and reporting capability;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The overall consultancy fee budgeted for the assignment, for the period of 3 months 15 days, is INR 15,00,000/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of 3 months 15 days. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
