Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Chennai.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The consultant will provide support to allocated states in communication-related activities. S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Provide support to the State Governments of allocated states for communication activities related to the HPV vaccination campaign;
(2) Assist states in the preparation and implementation of state-specific communication plans;
(3) Support the planning and organization of state-level stakeholder workshops, including agenda development, preparation of stakeholder and influencer lists, participant coordination, documentation, and follow-up action tracking;
(4) Monitor the progress of the HPV vaccination campaign and provide periodic updates with actionable recommendations;
(5) Support the development of state-specific communication materials and coordinate related HPV vaccination activities;
(6) Undertake any other project-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have Master’s degree in public health, Social Sciences, Communication, or related field;
(2) Minimum 2-5 years of experience in training coordination, communication, or program support in health or immunization programs with strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with government stakeholders and partners;
(2) Proficiency in documentation, report writing, and presentation development;
(3) Experience in planning and implementing public health communication campaigns;
(4) Monitoring and reporting skills with the ability to track progress and provide actionable insights;
(5) Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment;
(6) Adaptability and willingness to undertake diverse project-related tasks;
(7) Good interpersonal and communication skills;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 6,50,000/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of Six months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
