Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The consultant will provide an opportunity for a qualified public health professional to support evidence synthesis, documentation, and learning across key technical and strategic workstreams. In addition to supporting core implementation activities, the Fellow will contribute to knowledge building efforts that link country-level learning to broader regional priorities. These may include cross country implementation insights, systems analysis, and internal briefing materials designed to support programmatic decision-making across the Asia–Middle East region. S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Conduct structured literature and policy reviews on lab systems, surveillance infrastructure, and outbreak preparedness across diverse country contexts;
(2) Assist in synthesizing technical and operational evidence into knowledge products, including briefs, backgrounders, and strategy notes;
(3) Map evolving global and regional trends related to public health emergency financing, technical partnerships, and programmatic investments to inform internal strategy.;
(4) Contribute to stakeholder landscaping exercises by compiling information on institutional focus areas, strategic priorities, and health security programming;
(5) Analyze secondary data and contribute to documentation of key program activities such as simulation exercises, readiness assessments, and partner engagements;
(6) Support the development of tools and internal trackers to monitor implementation progress and facilitate insight sharing across teams;
(7) Contribute to drafting concept notes, technical proposals, and internal communications materials, as needed;
(8) Participate in internal learning sessions and working groups focused on cross-cutting issues and regional implementation learning;
(9) Support the preparation of internal briefing notes and background documents on partner priorities, regional policy dialogues, and relevant opportunities for partner engagement;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in dental surgery (BDS) or Homeopathy (BHMS) with a Master’s in Public Health (MPH), preferably with coursework in health systems, infectious disease, or global health;
(2) At least 01 years of relevant experience;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Excellent literature review and writing skills;
(2) Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively;
(3) Experience with MS Excel and basic analysis; exposure to GIS or data visualization tools is a plus;
(4) Prior experience in documentation, donor-supported programs, or health systems research is desirable;
(5) Demonstrated skills on communications and knowledge management;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 3,19,000/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of five months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
