Job Description

1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.

 

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The consultant will provide strategic, technical, and writing support to strengthen donor-funded public health programs, with a focus on infectious diseases, including HIV, Tuberculosis (TB), and Global Health Security (GHS). The assignment will support grant development, donor reporting, strategic engagement with donors and Government of India (GoI) stakeholders, scientific writing, and high-level advisory inputs to program teams. S/he will be responsible for the following work;

 

Key Job Responsibilities: 


(1) Grant proposals and concept notes (HIV, TB, GHS);

(2) Preparation of Programme reports & summary;

(3) Donor-compliant narrative reports;

(4) Technical assistance (National & on-site);
(5) Scientific Writing & Operational Research;

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have a MBBS with master’s degree/diploma in social work/ social sciences/ public health/or any other related field from a recognized University/ Institute;
(2) Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in public Health / infectious disease at National level;

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Preference will be given who has HIV/STI experience at National level and worked with

government stakeholders at National and State level, excellent knowledge of NACP;

(2) Have experience of leading large-scale health programs and experience of multi-stakeholder management;
(3) Experience of producing high-quality knowledge products;

(4) Excellent communication skills to engage with government stakeholders, donors and

internal teams;


5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 6,29,000/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:

 

The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of one month. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
