Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The consultant will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Data Management & Quality Assurance;
(a) Compile, clean, and validate Sampoorna Suraksha Strategy (HCTS, STI and SSK) and Vertical Transmission (HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B) datasets generated from SOCH, HMIS and States/UTs MPR;
(b) Conduct routine data quality checks, discrepancy analysis, and follow-up with States for corrections;
(c) Maintain centralized databases ensuring data confidentiality and integrity;
(d) Develop data validation templates and automated quality check tools (Excel/SPSS/R);
(2) Data Analysis & Reporting;
(a) Perform periodic analysis of Sampoorna Suraksha Strategy (SSS) and Vertical Transmission indicators;
(b) Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual analytical reports;
(c) Prepare State-wise dashboards, trend analysis, and comparative performance reports;
(d) Support preparation of presentations, briefs, and technical notes for review meetings and national consultations;
(3) Monitoring & Indicator Tracking;
(a) Track key SSS and Vertical Transmission indicators against targets;
(b) Develop monitoring frameworks and indicator tracking sheets;
(c) Support review meetings by preparing analytical summaries and identifying gaps;
(4) Technical Support to States;
(a) Provide remote technical support to States/UTs for reporting formats and data updates in SOCH;
(b) Assist in capacity building of State-level officers through virtual/physical training sessions;
(c) Support standardization of reporting formats and tools;
(5) Documentation & Coordination;
(a) Maintain documentation of data tools, formats, guidelines, and revisions;
(b) Support data sharing for research, publications, and policy briefs as per NACO guidelines;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have a Postgraduate degree in Statistics / Biostatistics / Public Health / Epidemiology / Data Science / Demography / Health Informatics;
(2) At least 3–5 years of experience in health data management and analysis;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Strong analytical skills with proficiency in;
(a) MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, dashboards);
(b) SPSS / STATA / R;
(c) Data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau – desirable);
(2) Knowledge of surveillance systems and monitoring frameworks;
(3) Understanding of HIV program indicators;
(4) Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insights;
(5) Good written and verbal communication skills;
(6) Ability to work under tight timelines;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 7,39,600/- Consultancy fee + Travel.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of four months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
