Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant - Program Coordinator (Two vacancies), International Not-for-Profit Organization, Mayurbhanj, Odisha
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our client is hiring for the position of Consultant Program Coordinators, based in Mayurbhanj, Odisha.
The position will contribute to providing programmatic and administrative support in the implementation of project activities across 10 high-priority blocks, in overall coordination with stakeholders and ensuring smooth execution of activities. The Consultants will report to the Project lead.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Coordinate with state, district, and block health authorities, private providers, PRIs,
and community stakeholders;
(2) Support planning and execution of trainings, workshops, and review meetings;
(3) Ensure alignment with DAMaN, Arogya Pathe, and IHIP platforms
(4) Support rollout of key interventions of the project in consultation with the project lead
(5) Track implementation across 10 blocks of Mayurbhanj and support scale-up
(6) Monitor progress against timelines and key indicators
(7) Collect and manage data on fever alerts, private-sector reporting, LLIN checks, PLA
micro-plans, and response timelines
(8) Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and evaluation reports
(9) Ensure data quality, accuracy, and timely submission
(10) Coordinate logistics for trainings, field activities, app deployment, and review
meetings
(11) Support procurement and field-level resource management
(12) Facilitate training and mentoring of youth champions and PLA facilitators
(13) Support community surveillance, PLA sessions, and active case detection linkages
(14) Promote IEC/BCC activities in local languages (Odia, Santali, Ho)
(15) Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to support program
delivery
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience
(1) Master’s in social sciences/ social work/ public health or any other relevant discipline
is essential;
(2) Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in programmatic, administrative, and
data support functions in public health programs;
(3) Experience in NVBDCP/DAMaN initiatives, community engagement, or private sector
coordination in Odisha or tribal districts is highly desirable;
(4) Women candidates are encouraged to apply.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a multicultural, tribal context;
(2) Attention to detail;
(3) Ability to produce documents and coordinate activities independently;
(4) Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines;
(5) Excellent organizational skills required;
(6) Excellent English and Odia communication skills; Working knowledge of Santali/Ho
is highly desirable;
(7) Demonstrated skills in communications, community mobilization, and knowledge
management
(8) Proficiency in computer skills particularly MS Office and mobile reporting
applications
(9) Willingness and flexibility to work on a wide range of tasks and travel extensively (up
to 70% of time) within the 10 blocks of Mayurbhanj district;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The overall consultancy fee budgeted for the assignment, for the period of 4 months, is INR 2,60,000/- + Travel

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement, initially offered until July 31, 2026.The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
