Not-for-Profit Organization, Delhi.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Consultant - Program Monitoring & Evaluation is supporting Quality Improvement and Assurance Initiatives among the Private Sector Maternity Hospitals across various states in India. It is also supporting generation of evidence on effect of this initiative on maternity outcomes. We are hiring for the position of Consultant, Program Monitoring and Evaluation to be posted in New Delhi, to support the related activities under this project.S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Support in the drafting and finalization of proposed evaluations’ protocol, data collection tools, consent forms, recruitment scripts and other study related documents;
(2) Support the ongoing Monitoring & Evaluation related functions pertaining to Quality Improvement & Assurance program;
(3) Support drafting and finalization of research protocol/determination request form along with data collection tools, pertaining to the planned Implementation Research study;
(4) Support in documentation of various project results & processes, and development of success stories and fact sheets for strategic sharing and dissemination;
(5) Ensure quality, consistency and adherence to best practices for M&E across the program, including data quality use in the reports;
(6) Support supervisor on any other activities pertaining to Program Evaluation or the Program Closure report, as required;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in health with mandatory. Master’s in epidemiology, statistics or public health/ Health Informatics/ Population Studies, Health Management or related subjects;
(2) At least 5 years of relevant professional experience of working with an international/ national public health organization or academic institute, experience particularly in the field of evaluation and research;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Existing publications in international peer reviewed journals, presentations at
international public health related conferences of repute;
(2) Understanding of global health, India’s public health structures and functions, and
development approaches with willingness to learn;
(3) Good analytical and scientific writing skills;
(4) Ability to analyze quantitative data using standard software’s like SPSS/STATA/R. Ability to use qualitative data analysis software’s will be an added advantage;
(5) Excellent oral and written communication skills;
(6) Comfortable with working in a multicultural team;
(7) Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi are required. Proficiency in writing and editing reports and documents;
(8) Ability to develop productive working relationships with other agencies, stakeholders and other organizations;
(9) Excellent organizational skills;
(10) Ability to travel as needed;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 579,000/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of Three months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
