Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant - Qualitative Data Analysis, International Not-for-Profit Organization (INPO), New Delhi.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Consultant will conduct qualitative analysis for the India Primary Health Care Support Initiative (IPSI) program in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, including the data triangulation, thematic analysis and synthesis of findings to generate actionable insights for program improvement and policy engagement. S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Qualitative Data Analysis and Synthesis;
(a) Conduct systematic coding and thematic analysis of qualitative data (KIIs, IDIs, FGDs). The analysis will be conducted on a sample size of 65;
(b) Develop codebooks and ensure consistency in coding across datasets;
(c) Synthesize findings to identify key themes, patterns, and insights aligned with study objectives;
(d) Generate actionable insights to inform program implementation and decision-making;
(2) Reporting and Knowledge Products;
(a) Prepare high quality analytical outputs, including detailed reports and data triangulation with the program data and presentations based on qualitative findings;
(b) Translate evidence into clear, programmatically relevant recommendations and key messages;
(c) Incorporate feedback from program and technical teams to refine outputs;
(d) Ensure timely submission of all deliverables in line with agreed timelines and quality standards;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must advanced degree/ Allied Health Sciences with MPH / other relevant Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Health Policy, or a related field;
(2) At least 5-6 years of relevant experience in qualitative research, public health, or health systems, with a strong focus on data analysis and evidence synthesis;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Demonstrated expertise in qualitative data analysis, including application of analytical frameworks, coding, and thematic synthesis of data from IDIs, KIIs, and FGDs;
(2) Familiarity with maternal health, primary health care, or public health programs in India; exposure to NCDs related work is an advantage;
(3) Ability to translate qualitative findings into actionable insights, including contributions to program learning, policy-relevant outputs, and strategic recommendations;
(4) Strong writing and documentation skills, including preparation of analytical reports, briefs, and presentations;
(5) Strong expertise in qualitative data analysis, including applying structured analytical frameworks to code, interpret, and synthesize data from IDIs and KIIs ensuring alignment with study objectives and generation of actionable insights;
(6) Proficiency in qualitative data analysis, including coding, thematic analysis, and use of
software/tools (e.g., NVivo, Atlas.ti, Excel-based frameworks);
(7) Ability to synthesize qualitative insights into actionable findings, linking evidence to programmatic and policy recommendations;
(8) Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex data and identify patterns,
themes, and emerging insights;
(9) Excellent writing and documentation skills, with the ability to produce high quality reports, briefs, and presentations for diverse audiences;
(10) Ability to work independently and deliver outputs within tight timelines;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The consultancy fee INR 3,60,000/- deliverables based) The Consultant CTC for 3 months INR 4,74,800/- (consultancy +M&IE +Stay + travel).

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of three months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
