1. POSITION VACANT: Head – Finance, Reputed CSR-driven Social Impact Organization, Delhi/NCR

2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:


Our client is a reputed CSR-driven social impact organization working at the intersection of technology and development. The organization focuses on expanding access to digital inclusion, skilling, entrepreneurship, and livelihood opportunities for underserved communities, with a strong emphasis on leveraging technology and innovation for sustainable social impact.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the CEO, the Head – Finance will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for leading the organization's finance, governance, compliance, and risk management functions. The incumbent will provide strategic financial leadership, strengthen institutional systems and controls, ensure compliance with statutory and donor requirements, and support long-term organizational sustainability.

 

The role will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and governance bodies, safeguarding stakeholder confidence while enabling the successful delivery and growth of the organization's social impact initiatives.

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

(A) Executive Leadership & Strategic Finance:
(1) Act as the principal financial advisor to the CEO and senior leadership, providing strategic financial insights to support organizational growth and sustainability;
(2) Develop and implement long-term financial strategies, policies, and investment plans aligned with organizational objectives;
(3) Support leadership and governance bodies through financial forecasting, risk assessments, and sustainability planning;
(4) Lead, mentor, and strengthen the finance function while fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence.

 

(B) Financial Architecture & Operations:
(1) Establish and continuously enhance financial systems, internal controls, and operational processes to support organizational effectiveness and scale;

(2) Oversee budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and statutory reporting processes;

(3) Ensure timely preparation and presentation of financial reports for management and governance review;

(4) Lead statutory, internal, donor, and compliance audits, ensuring implementation of audit recommendations;

(5) Drive process improvements and financial automation initiatives to strengthen institutional controls.


(C) Grants, Donor & Financial Management:
(1) Design and manage financial frameworks for donor-funded and grant-supported programs;

(2) Provide oversight on financial aspects of contracts, agreements, and partnerships with donors, government agencies, and implementation partners;

(3) Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance for domestic and international funding partners;

(4) Support stewardship and monitoring of restricted funds while ensuring adherence to donor requirements.


(D) Risk, Governance & Compliance:
(1) Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including FCRA, CSR regulations, taxation, and financial reporting standards;

(2) Develop and implement organization-wide risk management and compliance frameworks;

(3) Support Board governance processes, including financial documentation and regulatory compliance requirements;

(4) Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and reputational risks;

(5) Strengthen institutional governance and compliance systems to support sustainable organizational growth.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:


Qualification:
Applicants must be qualified Chartered Accountants (CA).

Experience:
(1) At least 12–15 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the development sector, non-profit organizations, CSR initiatives, or related environments;
(2) Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, accounting, audit management, and financial governance;
(3) Strong experience in managing donor funds, grant accounting, and regulatory compliance, including FCRA and CSR-related frameworks;
(4) Proven ability to engage with Boards, senior leadership teams, auditors, donors, and external stakeholders;
(5) Experience in strengthening and modernizing financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
