1. POSITION VACANT: Lab Assistant, Development Alternatives, New Delhi

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Head – Materials Lab the Lab Assistant (LA) will be responsible for conducting tests on various materials using the available instruments in the Materials Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Receiving various internal and external samples for testing, their coding and registering in Sample Receipt Register;
(2) Preparing job cards for sample testing as per client requirement;
(3) Processing of various samples to ensure suitability in testing;
(4) Operation of various instruments e.g. XRD, XRF, TGA etc as per standard operating procedures and generation of test results;
(5) Preparing test reports for internal and external purposes;
(6) Timely delivery of reports with clients and internal satisfaction.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a graduate degree or diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Cement, or related fields.
Experience:
(1) Minimum one to two years exposure to lab testing;
(2) Experience in working in lab of cement industries will be preferable.
Key Skills and Competencies:
(1) Must be proficient in English with good communication skills;
(2) Must have the ability to write good reports;
(3) Hard working with ability to complete assignments on time.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross compensation for the position can be up to a maximum of Rs. 3.12 lacs per annum, depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills.
