2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
Our client is a leading Philanthropic Organisation of a leading Indian business group to drive social impact initiatives in India. The foundation works across community development areas and supports programs aimed at improving the well-being and opportunities of underserved communities through partnerships, research, and collaborative initiatives.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Manager - Communications, the incumbent will be responsible for designing a communications all-rounder - someone who can seamlessly pivot from drafting high-level policy representations to managing real-time social media engagement. S/He will be responsible for shaping the Foundation’s narrative, ensuring our mission for systemic change is articulated clearly across digital and traditional platforms.
A. Narrative Building:
Develop and maintain a cohesive brand voice for the Foundation. You will translate complex social initiatives into compelling stories that resonate with partners, government stakeholders and the public.
B. Expert Writing:
Produce high-quality content across various formats including formal proposals, press releases, impact reports and website copy
C. Social Media Management:
Lead the strategy and execution of our digital presence. This includes content planning, community management and leveraging social platforms to drive advocacy and institutional visibility
D. Stakeholder Communication
Draft formal representations and strategic documents for government bodies, academic institutions and NGO partners.
E. Content Production
Oversee the creation of visual assets including photography and video projects, ensuring they align with our advocacy goals and ethical storytelling standards.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification
(1) Master’s degree in Communications, Media, Branding, Development Communication, , or related disciplines would be preferred.
Experience
(1) Minimum six to 10 years of relevant experience in communications, branding, storytelling, PR, or strategic communications.
(2) Prior experience in NGOs, philanthropic foundations, CSR, social enterprises, or development sector organizations is highly preferred.
Skill and Competencies
(1) Writing Excellence: A portfolio that demonstrates versatility - from creative storytelling to technical report writing.
(2) Strategic social media: Experience in leveraging digital platforms beyond routine posting, with a strong understanding of how strategic digital advocacy can drive awareness, influence public discourse, and create meaningful impact on social issues.
(3) Project Management: Ability to manage multiple deadlines, from website overhauls to field-level documentation.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED AND BENEFITS:
(1) Gross compensation budgeted for the positions is attractive and in alignment with salaries paid by leading NGOs for similar roles. The offers made to the selected candidates shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.

7. NATURE OF ROLE: This is a full-time position with business travel required as per organizational and role-specific needs
