3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Director – Literacy, the Manager – EdTech will be responsible for leading the organisation’s digital learning portfolio and driving technology-enabled innovation across programmes. The role requires strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence in the education space, e-learning platforms, online assessment systems, and app development. The incumbent should possess a sound understanding of LMS platforms and app content development/integration cycles, along with awareness of relevant market trends and emerging technologies.
The position will play a key role in introducing innovative digital learning solutions, conceptualising effective and scalable EdTech interventions, and accelerating tools and programmes with the potential to reach millions of children. The Manager – EdTech will also oversee projects end-to-end, ensuring successful delivery through adherence to standards scope, budgets and timelines.
Key Job Responsibilities:
A. Development and implementation of RtR digital products in alignment with programs:
(1) Drive to achieve results for impact, build and maintaining partnerships, thinking strategically for Edtech positioning;
(2) Develop/Review the Project/App architecture and structure/design for all products;
(3) Owns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project;
(4) Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases.
(5) Able to guide the team through the development, testing and implementation stages and review the completed work effectively;
(6) Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage software and hardware availability.
B. Digitization of internal processes for improved efficiency and access to data:
(1) Develop comprehensive project plans that take all requirements into account;
(2) Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables;
(3) Manages technical resources within budget and project schedule;
(4) Advise Learning & Development Leads on optimal Learning System configurations for enrolment, scheduling, logistics practices, and roster and student activity reports;
(5) Push out the courses to required audience through Prescriptive rules and tracking the
Completion;
(6) Oversee maintenance of data integrity rules for the System’s metadata and processes (e.g., course descriptions, course or class changes, and instructors).
C. Building the Edtech strategy in alignment with RtR approach:
(1) Guiding and performing strategic analysis for the projects;
(2) Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development and systems integration to all departments;
(3) Help team identify partners/vendors, delegate and allocate responsibilities efficiently to manage projects end to end.
D. Identifying and implementing the innovation in Edtech:
(1) Innovate and manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline;
(2) Proficient in handling the most complex technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies and designing techniques.
(3) Work for literacy cloud, it’s creation, publicity and knowledge dissemination initiatives through it.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or related discipline.
Experience:
(1) Minimum 10-12 years of relevant experience.
(2) Experience working with e-learning platforms and online assessment systems.
(3) The person should have experience in managing teams;
(4) Good understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their implementation;
(5) Ability to support technology-enabled learning solutions and digital education platforms.
