3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Program Director, the Manager – Process Engineering (MPE) will focus on optimizing the production and application processes for low-carbon cements, ensuring successful integration into cement and associated industries. The role requires technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to technology adoption and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Undertake responsibilities pertaining to the research, production and application of low carbon cement for cement and allied industries;
(2) To liaise with cement and construction industry and plants in providing process related services of low carbon cements and its application;
(3) Field visits to various cement production and application sites for understanding issues and providing services for rapid uptake of low carbon cements;
(4) Undertale evaluation of raw materials including clinkering process and chemistry;
(5) Undertake evaluation and understanding of clay calcination process and chemistry;
(6) Good understanding of cement hydration chemistry and the use of supplementary cementitious materials in production;
(7) Demonstrate and support commercial deployment of knowledge and technologies and products with commercial companies;
(8) Ensure quality assurance of reports and their timely delivery with clients and internal satisfaction;
(9) Increasing the visibility of work being done and developing relation ship with customers/clients to ensure repeated work;
(10) Writing proposals as per the requirement of funding agency(s).
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Cement and Concrete Technology.
Experience:
Minimum three to five years of relevant experience in the cement industry.
Key Skills and Competencies:
(1) Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
(2) Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare high-quality reports and proposals;
(3) Self-driven with the ability to manage projects independently and deliver results;
(4) Ability to travel extensively for field surveys and technology implementation.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross compensation for the position can be up to a maximum of Rs. 7.68 lacs per annum, depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills.
