3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Vice President and Domain Lead, the Senior Manager – Climate Change and Policy (SM-CCP) will play a pivotal role in driving initiatives to reduce embodied carbon in the built environment. This role will also focus on addressing gaps within the construction sector value chain, supporting various states in their transition toward a low-carbon economy.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Develop favourable policies at Central and State Government level for low carbon initiatives especially looking at mitigation technologies;
(2) Develop policy frameworks and analysis for promotion of cleaner technologies in the construction sector;
(3) Track policy movement in low carbon and resource efficient technology space and identify potential business opportunities nationally and internationally;
(4) Statistical analysis of data and prepare policy influencing documents;
(5) Strategy development for deployment of technologies across countries;
(6) Monitoring research opportunities, announcements, donor trends, and support teams in creating new businesses;
(7) Building a network of professional business contacts - clients, consultant companies and individual experts to identify potential partnerships;
(8) Project management including project planning, monitoring, reporting, writing, research and documentation; responsible for overall quality of project delivery;
(9) Management of project team to ensure seamless and high-quality delivery;
(10) Networking with national and international organization in the sustainable development arena to increase visibility of Group work and open new business opportunities.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a graduate or postgraduate degree in Environment, Renewable Energy, Sustainability Management, International Relations, or related fields.
Experience:
(1) Minimum six to seven years of relevant experience is required;
(2) Experience in the fields of Policy, Sustainability, and Environment is essential;
(3) Prior experience in International Relations is highly desirable.
Key Skills and Competencies:
(1) Must be proficient in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills including ability to interact with decision makers at the State and National level;
(2) Should have the ability to analyze situations based on interactions and formulate strategies;
(3) Ability to lead and manage a team;
(4) Must have required project management, proposal development and project monitoring skills including ability to interact with funding agencies and fructify project proposals.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross compensation for the position can be up to a maximum of Rs. 11.16 lacs per annum, depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills.
