Job Description

1. POSITIONS VACANT: Communication Support for HPV, International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.

 

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

We are looking for Communication Support for HPV to support Communications for Immunization projects in New Delhi. The Communication Support for HPV will strengthen the project's external visibility and internal communications, working closely with the Program team to translate project activities, results, and learnings into high-quality communication products for donors, government stakeholders, and the public. S/he will be responsible the following tasks:

Key Job Responsibilities: 


(1) Develop and execute a comms strategy to amplify project work and enhance external visibility;

(2) Produce external communication products - newsletters, brochures, e-newsletters, factsheets, infographics, and IEC posters - aligned to project milestones and donor requirements;

(3) Coordinate scripting, shooting, and production of audio-visual materials as required;

(4) Support the Program Director and program team in developing and compiling reports and presentations for donors, regulatory bodies, ministries, and partner agencies;

(5) Collect and compile meeting minutes, reports, success stories, and data inputs from state teams;

(6) Document and design project results, successes, challenges, and lessons learned, including coffee-table books or similar compendiums as needed;

(7) Assemble briefing materials and prepare PowerPoint and other presentations in collaboration with the Program team;

(8) Undertake field visits to document project work, including high-quality photography and Videography;

(9) Document and disseminate progress and achievements to internal and external stakeholders;

(10) Deliver other communication outputs as assigned by the supervisor in support of project;


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience:

(1) Applicants must have Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or a related field; postgraduate qualification in Communications or Journalism preferred;
(2) Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in communications, preferably in the not for profit or development sector in India;
(3) Prior experience working in public health or the development sector strongly preferred;
(4) Working knowledge of design software and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Illustrator) preferred;

(5) Working knowledge of video editing software required;

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with a good working knowledge of Hindi;

(2) Strong editing skills, with the ability to tailor communication materials for varied audiences (government, donor, public);

(3) Strong understanding of managing and growing organizational presence across social media platforms;

(4) High proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), particularly working with styles and templates;

(5) Advanced knowledge of grammar, usage, and editorial style and guidelines;

(6) Strong aesthetic sensibility and understanding of basic graphic design principles;

(7) Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage varied stakeholders;

(8) Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and approaches;


5. Compensation Offered: The monthly Gross remuneration budgeted for the role is INR 120,000/- per month and Travel Allowance: INR 20,000 per month (as per actual).

8. NATURE OF Engagement:


The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Fixed Term Employee (FTE) on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time engagement initially offered for a period of six months. The FTE is extendable based on performance and project requirements.
