Amba Shakti Foundation is the social development initiative of Amba Shakti Group, working towards creating empowered, self-reliant and sustainable communities. The Foundation undertakes community development initiatives in areas including skill development and entrepreneurship, education, health, environment and other community-based programmes.

The Foundation is looking for a motivated and field-oriented Community Mobilizer to support its Skill Development Programme in Sikandrabad Block, Bulandshahr.

Role Purpose :

The Community Mobilizer will serve as the primary link between Amba Shakti Foundation, local communities, prospective trainees, Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), Block-level authorities, NRLM and other relevant government departments and stakeholders .

The position will primarily focus on community mobilisation, identification and sourcing of eligible candidates for skill development programmes, stakeholder coordination and ensuring effective participation of beneficiaries in training activities.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

1. Community Mobilisation & Candidate Sourcing

  •  Conduct regular field visits to villages and communities across Sikandrabad Block to identify and mobilise suitable candidates for various skill development and entrepreneurship programmes.
  •  Create awareness among community members about available training opportunities, eligibility criteria, programme benefits and expected outcomes.
  •  Identify potential candidates through household visits, community meetings, SHGs, youth groups, Gram Panchayats, community leaders and other local networks.
  •  Support candidate registration, counselling, documentation and enrolment for skill development training programmes.
  •  Maintain a strong pipeline/database of potential candidates for current and upcoming training batches.
  •  Follow up with selected candidates to ensure attendance, participation and completion of training.

2. Government & Stakeholder Coordination

  •  Coordinate and maintain regular liaison with Gram Panchayats, PRI representatives, Block Development Office, NRLM, SHGs and other relevant government departments and institutions .
  •  Build relationships with Pradhans, Panchayat representatives, community leaders, frontline workers and other local stakeholders for effective programme implementation.
  •  Support the Foundation in conducting meetings and consultations with government officials and community stakeholders.
  •  Facilitate convergence and linkages with relevant government schemes and livelihood opportunities wherever applicable.

3. Community Relationship Building

  •  Develop strong and trusted relationships with local communities in the intervention villages.
  •  Act as a field-level point of contact between communities and Amba Shakti Foundation.
  •  Understand local livelihood needs, skill gaps and barriers affecting participation in skill development programmes and communicate field observations to the programme team.
  •  Encourage participation of women, youth and other eligible community members in relevant livelihood and skill development initiatives.

4. Training Coordination & Follow-up

  •  Coordinate with candidates, trainers, training partners and the Foundation team for smooth implementation of training batches.
  •  Support mobilisation for orientation sessions, counselling sessions, training programmes, assessments and certification activities.
  •  Track candidate attendance and identify reasons for absenteeism or dropouts.
  •  Conduct regular follow-ups with trainees during and after training to understand their employment, self-employment or livelihood status.
  •  Assist in connecting trained candidates with suitable employment, entrepreneurship or government livelihood opportunities wherever applicable.

5. Documentation, MIS & Reporting

  •  Maintain accurate records of candidate mobilisation, registration, attendance, training status and follow-up.
  •  Collect required beneficiary documents and ensure completeness of candidate files.
  •  Maintain village-wise and programme-wise mobilisation data.
  •  Prepare and submit daily/weekly field updates and monthly progress reports to the concerned reporting manager.
  •  Support collection of beneficiary feedback, photographs, case studies, success stories and other programme documentation.
  •  Ensure that beneficiary information and photographs are collected and used in accordance with the Foundation's consent and documentation procedures.

Qualification & Experience :

Educational Qualification: Graduate degree preferred. Candidates with relevant field experience and strong community networks may also be considered based on suitability.

Experience:

  •  Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in the development sector, preferably in skill development, livelihood programmes, community mobilisation, rural development, women empowerment or similar community-based projects.
  •  Previous experience in candidate mobilisation for skill development programmes will be strongly preferred.
  •  Experience of working with PRI institutions, Block-level government offices, NRLM/SHGs and local communities will be an advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

  •  The candidate should have strong community mobilisation and interpersonal skills, good knowledge of Sikandrabad Block and surrounding villages, and the ability to independently undertake extensive field movement.
  •  She should possess good communication and relationship-building skills and be comfortable interacting with community members, government officials, PRI representatives, SHGs and training partners.
  •  Basic knowledge of documentation, beneficiary data collection, WhatsApp, MS Office/Excel and digital reporting is desirable.
  •  The candidate should be proactive, responsible, community-oriented and capable of achieving mobilisation targets within agreed timelines.

Mandatory Requirements :

  •  Minimum 2-3 years of relevant development-sector/skill-development experience
  •  Willingness to undertake extensive field visits across Sikandrabad Block
  •  Own two-wheeler/vehicle mandatory for field movement
  •  Valid driving licence
  •  Good understanding of local communities and stakeholder ecosystem
  •  Ability to communicate effectively in Hindi and local dialects
  •  Candidate preferably residing in or around Sikandrabad/Bulandshahr

Remuneration

₹ 15,000-₹ 20,000 per month, inclusive of Travel Allowance (TA).

Final remuneration will be decided based on the candidate's relevant experience, local network, field capabilities and suitability for the assignment.

Nature of Engagement

This position will be engaged on a consultant basis and will be primarily field-based. The consultant will be expected to undertake regular village visits and coordinate closely with the Amba Shakti Foundation programme team.

The engagement may be continued/renewed based on programme requirements and satisfactory performance.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance will primarily be assessed on:

  •  Number of villages covered and community mobilisation activities conducted
  •  Eligible candidates identified, counselled and enrolled
  •  Achievement of agreed mobilisation targets for training batches
  •  Candidate attendance, retention and training completion
  •  Quality of coordination with PRI, NRLM, Block officials and other stakeholders
  •  Timely submission and accuracy of beneficiary documentation and MIS
  •  Post-training follow-up with beneficiaries
  •  Quality of community relationships and field-level coordination

Reporting :

The Community Mobilizer will report to the Programme/CSR Team - Amba Shakti Foundation and coordinate with designated training partners and other programme stakeholders as required.
