Job Description

1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant-CPHC Not-for-Profit Organization, Patna, Bihar.

         

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Consultant-CPHC will be embedded in State Health Society, Bihar. The position will be responsible for coordinating with CPHC Cell for required program and data deliverables as per priority set by organisation and state. Consultant will report to Senior Program Officer, CPHC. S/he will be responsible for following work.

Key Job Responsibilities: 

 

(1) Coordinate with stakeholders to establish workflows, data integration, and service delivery pathways for strengthening CPHC portfolio;


(2) Work closely with the supervisor on setting program priorities, directions, and responding to requests for technical support from state health officials;


(3) Develop and produce documents like situation analysis reports, assessment reports, gap analysis plans, procurement plans etc. as per the program need and local context;


(4) Compile data received from multiple sources and maintain organized databases;


(5) Perform basic data validation, consistency checks, and preliminary data cleaning with basic summaries, tables, for program reporting;


(6) Follow up with districts for data discrepancies, missing information, or clarifications;


(7) Maintain proper documentation, records etc;

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience:

(1) Applicant must have a master’s degree in public health/health and hospital management;

(2) At least 3 to 4 years of experience of working with government programs and systems for public health programs;

(3) Familiarity with the Indian health system, key stakeholders, and relevant government policies/ strategies - particularly Ayushman Bharat and National Health Mission;

 

Skills and Competencies:
(1) Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi;

(2) Direct experience of independently liaising with government health functionaries;

(3) Proficiency in writing technical and programmatic documents such as assessment, reports, training materials, program reports etc;

(4) Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines;

(5) Microsoft Office computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint;


5. CONSULTANCY FEE: 
The overall consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 55,000/- for one month.

 

6. LOCATION: Patna, Bihar

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:

 

The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of one months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
