1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Remote.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Consultant technical advice and review for strengthening youth-focused HIV prevention, treatment, and care initiatives under HIV Rise. S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Adolescent and Youth Listening Exercise;
(a) Design and implement youth listening exercises to understand HIV knowledge, attitudes, perceptions, service barriers, and information needs among adolescents and young people;
(b) Develop data collection tools including FGDs, Digital surveys, and storytelling;
(c) Analyze findings and identify priority interventions;
(d) Present findings with actionable recommendations;
(2) Strengthening NHM–NACP Bidirectional Coordination;
(a) Review existing coordination mechanisms between NHM and NACP at national and state levels;
(c) Identify opportunities for referral, co-location, and convergence of services;
(d) Develop coordination and referral pathways between HIV services and adolescent health services;
(e) Provide technical guidance and develop strategic recommendations to strengthen the integration and coordination of HIV services with TB, hepatitis, non-communicable disease, and mental health programs;
(3) Strengthening Linkages Between AFHCs, SSK and ICTCs;
(a) Assess existing referral mechanisms between Adolescent Friendly Health Clinics (AFHCs), Suraksha Sankalp Karyashala (SSK) initiatives, and Integrated Counselling and Testing Centres (ICTCs);
(b) Identify barriers affecting adolescent access to HIV testing and counselling services;
(c) Develop recommendations for youth-friendly HIV testing and counselling models;
(4) Digital Engagement;
(a) Develop Content Calendar for ‘Baatein Unlimited’ including themes, target audience and proposed formats;
(b) Work in close coordination with the Jhpiego ICO team managing the ‘Baatein Unlimited’ platform to strengthen digital engagement, youth participation, HIV awareness, and linkages to adolescent-friendly health and HIV services;
(5) National & State level (Mumbai & Telangana) support for Technical Support and
Review;
(a) Participate in review meetings and provide advisory inputs to states as required;
(b) Conduct regular visits to MDACS and Telangana SACS for advocacy and strengthening partner participation and review field implementation;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have masters in Social Work;
(2) At least 5 years of experience is desired;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Public Health Research and Qualitative Methods;
(a) Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination;
(b) Referral System Design and Service Integration;
(c) HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Treatment;
(2) Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL);
(3) Data Analysis and Evidence Synthesis;
(4) Digital Health Communication and Social Media Strategy;
(5) Capacity Building and Technical Assistance;
(6) Proficiency in MS Office and Digital Collaboration Tools;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The consultancy fee for two months INR 2,00,000/- deliverables based+ INR 1,90,900 for Travel as per actual).

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of two months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
