Consultant - Strategic Knowledge Management
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant - Strategic Knowledge Management, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Patna, Bihar.

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe;
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Consultant - Strategic Knowledge Management will provide strategic leadership in capturing, synthesizing, documenting, and communicating organizational knowledge across the programme portfolio. The consultant will transform technical achievements, implementation experiences, innovations, and evidence into high-quality knowledge products that enhance organizational visibility, strengthen institutional learning, demonstrate measurable impact, and support future programme development and strategic partnerships. S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Programme Knowledge Capture and Evidence Synthesis;
(a) Review and synthesize documentation from 100% of assigned projects, including Mission;
(b) Unnayan, Pre-Pregnancy Care (PPC), Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC), Midwifery, and other strategic initiatives;
(c) Prepare programme-wise evidence synthesis reports highlighting achievements, innovations, lessons learned, and key outcomes;
(d) Establish a validated repository of project documents and knowledge assets;
2. Development of Knowledge Products;
(a) Develop at least 20 high-quality knowledge products, including achievement reports, executive summaries, policy/technical briefs, case studies, success stories, lessons learned, infographics, and presentation decks;
(b) Ensure all products meet organizational quality standards and receive approval from the Programme Director;
3. Project Legacy and Communication Packages;
(a) Prepare one comprehensive Project Legacy Package for each major programme, including a project closure report, impact summary, sustainability plan, lessons learned, executive presentation, and communication materials;
(b) Complete and submit all legacy packages before project closure;
4. Strengthening Knowledge Management Systems;
(a) Develop and operationalize at least 10 standardized knowledge management tools, templates, and SOPs;
(b) Establish and maintain a structured digital knowledge repository covering all assigned programmes;
5. Stakeholder Consultation and Knowledge Sharing;
(a) Conduct at least 25 stakeholder consultations/interviews and facilitate a minimum of six knowledge-sharing or dissemination events;
(b) Document stakeholder feedback and incorporate key recommendations into knowledge products;
6. Strategic Positioning and Future Programme Development;
(a) Prepare one Strategic Portfolio Report highlighting organizational achievements, opportunities for scale-up, sustainability, and future programming.
(b) Develop evidence-based value propositions and strategic recommendations to support donor engagement, partnerships, and resource mobilization
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Health Management, Health Policy, Development Studies, Health Communication, Knowledge Management, Public Policy, or a related discipline;
(2) Minimum 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in public health programmes, knowledge management, technical documentation, strategic communications, or health systems strengthening;
(3) Demonstrated experience working with Government of India, State Governments, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, World Bank, USAID, or other development partners;
(4) Proven experience in preparing high-quality donor reports, programme documentation, case studies, policy briefs, and strategic communication materials;
(5) Experience documenting large-scale health systems programmes is highly desirable;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Excellent technical writing and editing skills.
(2) Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
(3) Experience in qualitative documentation and evidence generation.
(4) Knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks.
(5) Strong presentation and visualization skills.
(6) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge management platforms.
(7) Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently.
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The overall consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 12,00,000/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of six months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
