Job Description

1. POSITIONS VACANT: NCD Coordinator, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Harda, Madhya Pradesh.

 

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

We are looking for NCD Coordinator will work provide techno-managerial support in the design, implementation and monitoring of cardiovascular health interventions, focused on improving control of hypertension and diabetes at the primary health care level in Harda district. The NCD Coordinator will work closely with the Program Officer-NCD and NCD Nodal Officer (Harda) to implement strategies for improving screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for individuals with hypertension and diabetes at the primary health care level. S/he will be responsible the following tasks:

Key Job Responsibilities: 


(1) Facility Readiness Assessment & Supportive Supervision;
(a) The Coordinator must conduct at least fifteen (15) Supportive Supervision Visits (SSVs) to AAM-PHC and AAM-SHC in district Harda and Khandwa every month and report in ODK tool on real time basis every month;

(2) HDP Learning Lab Report;

(a) The Coordinator must ensure the HDP Learning Lab protocol is integrated into routine ANC workflows at all AAMs and ensure that 95% facilities report the data on ODK tool every month;

(3) JAS Learning Lab Implementation;

(a) The Coordinator must ensure that at least 80% facilities submit JAS Learning Lab report on ODK tool every month;

 

(4) Program Management & Monthly Deliverable Report;

(a) Represent Project at district-level review meetings with government officials and document minutes and action trackers and share within 48 hours;

(b) Prepare and submit monthly progress report highlighting facility wise gaps identified, recommended corrective actions regarding supply chain issues to the Program Officer-NCD by the 5th of the following month;

(c) Share monthly workplan of upcoming month by 5th of every month;

(d) Facility-wise trip report to be shared after each visit. Document findings, key challenges, bottlenecks identified, and corrective actions taken or recommended for each facility visited;

(e) Identify at least one success story per month and share good practices from the field;


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience
(1) Applicant must Post Graduate in any field;

(2) At least 2-3 years of experience of working with government programs and systems for large scale public health programs especially health systems strengthening interventions;

(3) Technical knowledge and experience in health programs in the high focus states of India;
(4) Knowledge of latest GoI NP-NCD and CPHC program guidelines, program management structures, Program Implementation plan (PIP) process;

(5) Familiarity with the Indian health system, key stakeholders, and relevant government policies / strategies - particularly Ayushman Bharat and National Health Mission;

(6) Demonstrable experience and competency in managing diverse objectives with government and multiple stakeholders;

 

 

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi;

(2) Direct experience of independently liaising with district level administrators and other development partners:

(3) Proficiency in writing technical and programmatic documents such as assessment reports, training materials, program reports etc;
(4) Technically proficient with up-to-date knowledge and skills required for the assigned task;

(5) Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines;

(6) Microsoft Office computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

(7) Ability to travel up to 60% of his/her time;


5. Compensation Offered: The Gross remuneration budgeted for the role is INR 1,30,000/- two months and INR 1,03,200/- (for travel as per actual)

6. LOCATION: Harda, Madhya Pradesh

8. NATURE OF Engagement:


The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Fixed Term Employee (FTE) on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time engagement initially offered for a period of two months. The FTE is extendable based on performance and project requirements.
