Program Associate (Full Stack Development)
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Program Associate (Full Stack Development), International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for Program Associate will join client’s Digital Innovation Unit, working on web applications that support our health programs. Our main stack is Node.js (TypeScript), React and PostgreSQL. This role suits someone at the start of their career. The Associate will report to the Senior Technical Officer, Digital Innovation Unit, who will guide and review the work. S/he will be responsible the following tasks:
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Development;
(a) Build UI components and features in React;
(b) Implement and fix REST API endpoints in Node.js;
(c) Write SQL queries and fix bugs across web applications;
(2) Collaboration & Learning;
(a) Take part in code reviews and apply the feedback;
(b) Understand requirements from the team before building;
(c) Write unit tests and brief documentation for completed work;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field;
(2) At least 0–2 years of experience; freshers with good college or personal projects are welcome;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Good JavaScript fundamentals; TypeScript knowledge is a plus;
(2) Basic React knowledge: components, props, state and hooks;
(3) SQL knowledge (mandatory): tables, joins and writing queries; PostgreSQL preferred;
(4) Understanding of HTTP, REST APIs and JSON;
(5) Familiarity with Git;
(6) Willingness to learn and take feedback;
(7) Good communication skills in English and Hindi;
(8) Personal projects or a GitHub profile that shows your work;
(9) Some exposure to Node.js, Express or Angular;
(10) Internships, hackathons or open-source contributions;
(11) Interest in working on health or social-sector applications;
5. Compensation Offered: The monthly Gross remuneration budgeted for the role is INR 35,000/-.

8. NATURE OF Engagement:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Fixed Term Employee (FTE) on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time engagement initially offered for a period of six months. The FTE is extendable based on performance and project requirements.
