Job Description

1. POSITIONS VACANT: Program Officer, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

 

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

We are looking for Program officer will play an essential role in supporting planning, coordination, and monitoring of cancer care program activities across districts, contributing to strengthened service delivery, data driven decision-making, and effective stakeholder coordination. S/he will be responsible the following tasks:

Key Job Responsibilities: 


(1) Programme Coordination & Implementation;

(a) Support planning and implementation of cancer care activities related to oral, breast, and cervical cancer screening, diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up;

(3) Assist in coordination with State NCD Cell, district health teams, and Jhpiego PMU to ensure alignment with programme objectives and timelines;

(2) District Support & Monitoring;

(a) Coordinate with district NCD teams and health facilities to support effective roll-out of cancer care services;

(b) Assist in tracking district-level progress and follow up on key action points identified during reviews and field visits;


(3) Diagnostics & Treatment Support;

(a) Support monitoring of cancer diagnostic services, including colposcopy, thermal ablation, biopsy, and imaging services at the district level;

(b) Assist in tracking service utilisation, referrals, and basic operational issues in coordination with state and district teams;

 

(4) Training & Capacity Building;

(a) Support coordination of trainings, mentoring sessions, CMEs, and review meetings for doctors, nurses, and programme staff;

(b) Assist in documentation and follow-up of training and mentoring activities in coordination with mentoring institutes;

 

(5) Data Management & Reporting;

(a) Assist in the collection, consolidation, and validation of programme data related to cancer screening, diagnostics, treatment, and referrals;

(b) Support preparation of routine programme reports, presentations, and summaries for state and internal reviews;

 

(6) Coordination & Documentation;

(a) Facilitate coordination with state and district stakeholders for meetings, reviews, and programme follow-up;

(b) Support documentation of meetings, action points, and programme progress in line with state and Jhpiego reporting requirements;

 

(7) Additional Duties;

(a) Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor to support programme objectives;


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience:

(1) Applicants must have graduate degree in Public Health, Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related discipline is essential;
(2) Preference will be given to those with a postgraduate or master's degree in the relevant discipline;
(3) At least 1–3 years of experience working with the government health programmes, preferably under NHM or NP NCD programmes;
(4) Familiarity with the public health system and state-level programme implementation is desirable;

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Strong coordination and organizational skills;

(2) Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines;

(3) Demonstrated analytical skills for data collection and reporting;

(4) Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with diverse stakeholders;

(5) Good documentation, reporting, and communication skills;

(6) Ability to work effectively with government counterparts and diverse stakeholders;

(7) Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic data handling tools;

(8) Willingness to travel within the state as required;


5. Compensation Offered: The monthly Gross remuneration budgeted for the role is INR 60,000/- per month and for 5 months INR 3,00,000/-.

6. LOCATION: Jaipur, Rajasthan

8. NATURE OF Engagement:


The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Fixed Term Employee (FTE) on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time engagement initially offered for a period of five months. The FTE is extendable based on performance and project requirements.
