1. POSITIONS VACANT: Program Support - Human Resources for Health, International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.

 

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

We are looking for Program Coordinator is responsible for providing strategic technical and policy support in the Human Resources for Health (HRH), with a primary focus on strengthening the nursing workforce. The role involves conducting comprehensive desk reviews and synthesizing national and global evidence to develop policy recommendations, analytical reports, policy briefs, concept notes, technical documents, and proposals that inform nursing and health workforce interventions. The incumbent will support the development of competency frameworks aligned with health system priorities, facilitate consultations, workshops, and policy dialogues with government ministries, professional councils, academic institutions, and healthcare organizations, and engage with key stakeholders to ensure that policy recommendations are practical, evidence-based, and responsive to ground-level needs. The position requires ensuring the timely delivery of high - quality outputs, contributing to organizational knowledge management, and providing technical support to project activities while undertaking additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor to achieve project and organizational objectives. S/he will be responsible the following tasks:

Key Job Responsibilities: 

 

(1) Conduct comprehensive desk reviews and synthesize national and global evidence to inform Human Resources for Health (HRH) and nursing policies and programs;
(2) Develop analytical reports, policy briefs, concept notes, technical proposals, presentations, and other knowledge products on nursing and HRH;

(3) Plan, coordinate, and facilitate technical consultations, workshops, review meetings, and policy dialogues with government ministries, professional councils, academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and development partners;

(4) Prepare consultation reports, technical recommendations, meeting summaries, and action plans arising from stakeholder engagements;

(5) Ensure timely delivery of high-quality technical outputs in accordance with project requirements and organizational standards;

(6) Contribute to organizational knowledge management by documenting lessons learned, maintaining technical resources, and supporting cross-functional team initiatives;

(7) Perform other technical and programmatic responsibilities assigned by the supervisor to support project and organizational objectives;


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience:

(1) Applicant must have master’s degree in public health (MPH)/ Health Policy/ Health/ Health/ Nursing/Social Sciences, or a related field;

(2) Minimum 0–2 years of relevant experience in public health, research, or healthcare settings, academic projects, or field experience related to Human Resources for Health (HRH)/nursing, will be considered valuable.;

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for drafting reports, briefs, and presentations;

(2) Basic facilitation and coordination skills developed through academic or extracurricular experiences;

(3) Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative in a dynamic work environment;

(4) Good time management and organizational skills;

(5) Openness to travel for fieldwork, workshops, and stakeholder consultations if required;

(6) Strong knowledge of Human Resources for Health (HRH), nursing systems, and health policy;

(7) Excellent research, evidence synthesis, and analytical skills;

(8) Proficiency in technical writing, including policy briefs, reports, and concept notes;

(9) Experience in stakeholder engagement, consultation, and workshop facilitation;

(10) Ability to develop competency frameworks and technical guidance documents;

(11) Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills;

(12) Effective planning, coordination, and project management abilities;

(13) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual collaboration tools;

(14) Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs within timelines;

(15) Strong commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and organizational goals;


5. Compensation Offered: The monthly Gross remuneration budgeted for the role is INR 50,000/- per month.

6. LOCATION: New Delhi

8. NATURE OF Engagement:


The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Fixed Term Employee (FTE) on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time engagement initially offered for a period of three months. The FTE is extendable based on performance and project requirements.
