About Project:
The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) is an independent organization developing AI-based solutions for social good. NEN works closely with central and state governments in India to collaborate on solutions in domains including healthcare, education, agriculture, and other areas of public interest.
NEN-AI is implementing a Walmart-funded project titled “Soyabean Grain Analyser”, which aims to support the use and field implementation of technology for grain analysis in the soybean value chain.
As part of this project, NEN-AI intends to undertake field-level implementation and monitoring activities across selected districts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, in collaboration with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), implementation partners and other relevant stakeholders.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Field Support Officer (Project Implementation & Monitoring Expert) will support the implementation and monitoring of the Grain Analyzer program on the field. The successful candidate will be responsible to work in close collaboration and coordination with FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations) and various implementation partners for successful delivery of the deliverables set forth for the on-field deployment. The role requires strong capabilities in coordination, communication, and reporting.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
(A) Monitoring Farmer Trainings and Reporting:
(1) Attend and monitor scheduled farmer training sessions;
(2) Verify and validate the accuracy and completeness of sources of verification, including attendance sheets and farmer training photos;
(3) Submit daily activity reports and updates to the designated reporting officer via email & WhatsApp.
(B) Coordination and Partnership Management:
(1) Ensure effective coordination with implementation partners and Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) representatives within the assigned location/s;
(2) Manage multiple implementation partners & ensure timely support in case of any on-field requirements.
(C) Project Progress and Compliance:
(1) Monitor the progress of implementation partners to ensure project targets and milestones are met;
(2) Provide timely updates, flag potential issues, and support the resolution of operational challenges encountered in the field.
(D) Documentation and Record Keeping:
(1) Maintain digital records of field activities using basic mobile or desktop applications.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
(1) Bachelor’s degree or Master’s (Any year) in Agriculture or related disciplines from an accredited university or college.
(2) Preferred: Understanding of the Soybean or any agriculture commodity value chain.
Experience:
(1) Demonstrated experience or working knowledge in Soybean value chain translating domain knowledge into structured digital content projects is preferred but not mandatory;
(2) Knowledge of, interest in, or prior experience with agriculture and FPO operations is highly desirable;
(3) Prior experience in farmer training is good to have.
Domain Familiarity:
(1) Adequate understanding of agriculture commodity value chain and its related disciple, and agricultural terminology;
(2) Ability to assess the correctness of practical farmer conditions is essential.
Technical Skills
Basic technical proficiency with the ability to work on digital platforms and tools (e.g., MS Office, email, WhatsApp, Google Forms/Sheets, etc.).
Tools Availability:
Access to a functional Android mobile device, laptop and reliable internet connection is mandatory.
Travel:
Own a two-wheeler and be prepared for extensive travel in rural and semi-urban areas.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to participate in team calls, deliver feedback effectively, and coordinate with the internal stakeholders & external stakeholders, including farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and implementation partners.
Availability:
Ability to commit to the full project duration from September 2026 to February 2027.
6. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross fee budgeted for this position is a consolidated amount of Rs. 33,000 per month, inclusive of all applicable taxes and allowances. The fee will be subject to applicable tax deductions as per prevailing laws.
Note: The above fee is a consolidated monthly amount, inclusive of all allowances, including travel. No separate travel reimbursement shall be payable.
7. NATURE OF ENGAGEMENT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Fixed Term Employee (FTE) on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, offered for a period of six months.
10. LOCATION (Place of Posting): The Field Support Officers (FSOs) positions will be based across selected locations in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Madhya Pradesh – Tentative Districts: Indore, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Alirajpur, Ujjain, Dewas, Agar Malwa, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Jhabua, Rajgarh, Sehore, Vidisha, Ratlam, Shajapur, Guna, Tikamgarh, Sagar.
Maharashtra – Tentative Districts: Dharashiv, Latur, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad), Ahilyanagar, Jalna, Beed, Osmanabad
(Note:
1) The districts mentioned above are tentative and subject to change as per project requirements. The final location of posting will be allocated to the selected candidates and communicated before joining of the Field Staff;
2) This position requires extensive travel to project locations, and the candidate must be comfortable with it.)
