About Project:

The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) is an independent organization developing AI-based solutions for social good. NEN works closely with central and state governments in India to collaborate on solutions in domains including healthcare, education, agriculture, and other areas of public interest.

NEN-AI is implementing a Walmart-funded project titled “Soyabean Grain Analyser”, which aims to support the use and field implementation of technology for grain analysis in the soybean value chain.

As part of this project, NEN-AI intends to undertake field-level implementation and monitoring activities across selected districts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, in collaboration with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), implementation partners and other relevant stakeholders.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The State Supervisor (State Supervisor-Madhya Pradesh/ Maharashtra) will support in managing the Project Implementation & Monitoring Experts and plan the daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for close collaboration and coordination with FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations) and various partner organizations. The role requires strong capabilities in management, coordination, communication, and reporting.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

(A) Monitoring of Training Activities:
(1) Supervise the implementation and monitoring experts to ensure timely delivery of the milestones;

(2) Verify the accuracy and completeness of sources of verification (attendance sheets and training records) collected by the Project Implementation and Monitoring Experts;
(3) Ensure timely and correct submission of daily reports by project implementation and monitoring experts.

(B) Oversight of Coordination & Partnerships:

(1) Monitor coordination between project implementation and monitoring experts, implementation partners, and FPO representatives;

(2) Ensure smooth communication and issue resolution at the field level.

(C) Project Progress Monitoring:

(1) Track and validate application installations carried out by implementation and monitoring experts;

(2) Monitor progress against project targets and milestones;

(3) Identify gaps, flag issues, and guide field teams in resolving challenges.

(D) Documentation & Compliance:

(1) Review and ensure proper digital record-keeping by field staff;
(2) Maintain oversight on data quality, completeness, and compliance with project standards.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification:
Master’s degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Agribusiness, or any related field.

Experience:
(1) A minimum of 3–5 years of experience is required in one of the following areas: Field operations, project implementation, or supervision of agriculture or rural development projects;
(2) The candidate must possess experience in coordinating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), partners, and local institutions;
(3) Demonstrated experience or working knowledge in Soybean value chain translating domain knowledge into structured digital content projects is preferred but not mandatory;
(4) Knowledge of, interest in, or prior experience with agriculture and FPO operations is highly desirable;
(4) Prior experience in farmer training is good to have.

Domain Familiarity:

(1) Good understanding of farmer training programs, FPO ecosystem, agri-value chains, and rural field operations;

(2) Experience in project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation (M&E).

Technical Skills

Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), email communication, and mobile-based data collection tools.

Tools Availability:
Access to a functional Android mobile device, laptop and reliable internet connection is mandatory.

Travel:
Own a two-wheeler and be prepared for extensive travel in rural and semi-urban areas.

Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data verification, reporting, and compliance with project guidelines.

Communication Skills:
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to coordinate with farmers, FPOs, partners, and internal teams.

Availability:
Immediate or as per project requirement; should be available for regular field visits and daily reporting.

6. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

The gross fee budgeted for this position is a consolidated amount of Rs. 40,000 per month, inclusive of all applicable taxes and allowances. The fee will be subject to applicable tax deductions as per prevailing laws.

Note: The above fee is a consolidated monthly amount, inclusive of all allowances, including travel. No separate travel reimbursement shall be payable.

7. NATURE OF ENGAGEMENT:

The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Fixed Term Employee (FTE) on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, offered for a period of six months
