Job Description

1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Delhi.

 

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Consultant will work closely with the National Program Officer to ensure high quality deliverables and timely execution of activities related to programmatic facilitation and provide support to MoHFW to strengthen Maternal and Adolescent health programs. S/he will be responsible for the following work;

 

Key Job Responsibilities: 


(1) Visit to States to facilitate trainings and ensure quality of training;
(2) Undertake rapid assessments as per need and co-create action plan for the states for mid - improvements;

(3) Develop road map/strategic document based on state specific challenges and insights;

(4) Develop presentations and talking points including idea pitches for various events and meetings;

(5) Contribute to the development of training package as per need;

(6) Prepare meeting minutes, presentations and documents report;

(7) Document innovations and support MoHFW for larger scale up through NHM PIP;

(8) Support in drafting paper for publication on various initiatives and evidence based innovations;

(9) Any other deliverables as per guidance by supervisor;


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience:

(1) Applicants must have a post -graduation degree in public health;
(2) At least 5 years of experience working or supporting National Health Mission at State/ National level. Preference will be given to candidate with prior experience of working in MNH and Adolescent Health and Health System Strengthening;

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Good Communication (verbal & written in local language and English);

(2) Computer Proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc);
(3) Good interpersonal skills;

(4) Good documentation skills


5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 4,26,000/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:

 

The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of Three months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
