Engagement of Consultant/Vendor towards implementation of AI Samarth Program in District Chamoli, Uttarakhand State.

About the Program
Room to Read Trust India, supported by the Central Square Foundation, will implement AI Samarth project from July 2026 to April 2027. The initiative integrates gender-intentional pedagogy and content into AI literacy programming to ensure equitable participation of female teachers and students in underserved contexts. The project will cover approximately 500 schools across Dehradun and Chamoli districts, engaging 1,000 female teachers and 20,000 female students (Grades 6–12). Key activities include teacher training, classroom-based dissemination of AI Samarth modules, and the development of gender-responsive teaching resources. Implementation will be supported by MIS dashboards, quality audits, and KAP studies to track reach, adoption, and learning outcomes. Project’s expected outcomes include strengthened teacher capacity, inclusive classroom practices, enhanced confidence and aspirations among female students, and generation of evidence for scalable gender-intentional AI literacy programming. The project will also contribute to ecosystem learning through documentation, case studies, and human impact stories.
Background of the Assignment
Room to Read seeks to engage a District Level Consultant to support the implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance of the AI Samarth Project in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand.
The Consultant will work closely with the State Level Consultant , school leadership, teachers, and government stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of project activities. The role requires regular field visits, teacher mentoring, classroom observation, stakeholder engagement, data management, documentation, and reporting.
Role of RtR:
Provide the consultant with necessary data, documents, and technical inputs to support completion of assignment.

Eligibility Criteria: - The vendor
- Master’s degree in education, Social Work, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 n education or development sector programmes, with exposure to teacher professional development, school improvement, and/or technology-enabled learning initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience working with government education systems and collaborating with district, block, and school-level stakeholders.
- Experience managing education projects and supervising field teams to deliver programme outcomes.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills in Hindi and English.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Willingness to travel extensively across project locations in Chamoli district.
Contract Duration
- The duration of the assignment will be from 1st July to 30th April 2027.
- Payment will be made monthly on submission of the invoice and upon delivery as per the schedule, with adjustments for any short fall in delivery, including deviations affecting timely completion of agreed deliverables.
- Approved travel and accommodation expenses incurred for assignment-related activities shall be reimbursed by Room to Read in accordance with the consultancy reimbursement guidelines.
