Room to Read is an organization transforming the lives of millions of children by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education.
About the Program
The AI Samarth Project aims to strengthen digital and AI literacy among students and teachers through school-based interventions, capacity building, technology-enabled learning, and system strengthening initiatives. The project is being implemented across approximately 500 schools in Uttarakhand in close collaboration with government stakeholders and education institutions.
Background of the Assignment
Room to Read Trust India, supported by the Central Square Foundation, will implement AI Samarth project from July 2026 to April 2027. The project will cover approximately 500 schools across Dehradun and Chamoli districts, engaging 1,000 female teachers and 20,000 female students (Grades 6–12). Key activities include teacher training, classroom-based dissemination of AI Samarth modules, and the development of gender-responsive teaching resources. Implementation will be supported by MIS dashboards, quality audits, and KAP studies to track reach, adoption, and learning outcomes.
