About the RFP
India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) invites project proposals from Government-aided and non-profit schools in non-metropolitan areas of India. The projects are for arts-integrated work under its Arts Education programme, Kali Kalisu ("learn and teach" in Kannada). The programme aims to make learning an engaging and joyous experience by using different art forms in curriculum-based teaching. It encourages curiosity and creativity among students. All selected projects will be implemented by IFA.
Scope of the Projects
A project can address one or more of these objectives:
- Connect local art forms and cultural practices with classroom learning and teaching.
- Integrate arts into the learning and teaching processes of all subjects.
- Include students' lived experiences in classroom learning.
- Work with local artists and resources from the community.
Duration: Minimum 1 year to maximum 1 year 6 months
Budget: Up to a maximum of ₹4,00,000 (Rupees Four lakh)
Who can apply
Government-aided or non-profit schools located in non-metropolitan areas. The institution must work with local languages and believe that arts and culture are integral to teaching and learning.
Eligibility
- The school must be owned or run by an institution registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 or the Indian Trust Act 1882.
- It must have existed for at least 3 years.
- It must have audited statements of accounts for at least 2 years.
- It must have a valid PAN.
- Incomplete proposals, and those from applicants outside the eligibility criteria, will be disregarded.
- Applicants must align with IFA's commitment to a safe environment that supports, respects and protects children and young people, and must uphold it at all times.
Submission guidelines
Proposals can be written in any Indian language, including English. IFA encourages projects in Indian languages other than English.
The final proposal must contain:
- Title of the project
- Mission/Vision/Overview of the school
- Socio-cultural background of the students
- Objectives of the proposed project
- Methodology and detailed work plan
- Details of resource persons who will be part of the project
- The process for evaluating the project
- Expected outcomes
- Detailed budget break-up
Supporting annexures:
- Copy of the Trust Deed / Memorandum of Association
- List and profile of current Trustees/Members
- Copy of Registration under 12A / Society Act
- Auditor's Report / Audited Statement of Accounts for at least the past 2 years
- Copy of the institution's PAN
- Details of past or current Arts Education activities, if any
Selection process
- Shortlisted proposals will be evaluated by an external panel.
- Applicants must present their project ideas to the panel.
- IFA's decision on project selection is final.
