Job Description

1. POSITIONS VACANT: Coordinator, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Khargone, Madhya Pradesh.

 

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

 

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

We are looking for Coordinator will support the planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of maternal and newborn health interventions in close collaboration with government counterparts, partners, and field teams. The position is responsible for facilitating effective implementation of program activities related to early antenatal care, identification and management of Ultra High-Risk Pregnancies (UHRP), digital health interventions including ANMOL-enabled AI applications and IoT devices, and quality improvement initiatives. The incumbent will provide technical and operational support through capacity building, supportive supervision, field monitoring, data management, stakeholder coordination, and documentation to ensure high-quality implementation and achievement of program objectives. The role requires regular engagement with district and block health systems to strengthen service delivery, promote evidence-based decision-making, and ensure timely reporting and compliance with project and donor requirements. S/he will be responsible the following tasks:

Key Job Responsibilities: 

 

(1) Coordinate with district and block health officials, development partners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of project interventions in accordance with approved work plans;
(2) Support implementation of maternal and newborn health interventions under the Sankalp Program, including early ANC registration, completion of four ANC visits, identification and follow-up of Ultra High-Risk Pregnancies (UHRP), and referral tracking;
(3) Provide technical and operational support for implementation of ANMOL-enabled AI applications, IoT devices, and other digital health solutions, ensuring functionality, data quality, troubleshooting, and optimal utilization at health facilities;
(4) Plan and facilitate capacity-building activities for healthcare providers, including ANMs, CHOs, Staff Nurses, Medical Officers, Care Navigators, and Technical Consultants through trainings, mentoring, supportive supervision, and on-site coaching;
(5) Conduct regular field monitoring visits to assess implementation quality, adherence to protocols, utilization of job aids, and performance of project-supported interventions, providing timely feedback and corrective actions;
(6) Monitor implementation of interventions related to social determinants of maternal deaths, UHRP detection and management, home delivery monitoring, skilled birth attendance, small and vulnerable newborn care, and heat preparedness;
(7) Support implementation of quality improvement initiatives including pre-referral maternal consultations, UHRP adverse outcome audits, quality of care assessments, and accountability frameworks to strengthen service delivery;
(8) Collect, validate, analyze, and report program data using approved digital platforms and reporting systems, ensuring data completeness, accuracy, and timely submission to project and government stakeholders;
(9) Assist in annual and quarterly work planning, activity scheduling, budget tracking, documentation, and coordination with vendors and field teams to ensure timely execution of project activities;
(10) Prepare technical reports, presentations, success stories, meeting minutes, and documentation required by donors, project leadership, and government counterparts;
(11) Maintain effective coordination with district administration, health department officials, ICDS, and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen convergence and facilitate implementation of project activities;

(12) Perform any other technical, operational, or administrative responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager to support achievement of project objectives; 


4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience
(1) Applicant must have Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Social Work, Healthcare Management, or a related field;
(2) Minimum 3-5 years of experience in implementing public health programs, preferably in maternal and newborn health;

(3) Experience working with the National Health Mission (NHM), government health departments, and development partners;

(4) Knowledge of maternal health programs, government guidelines, and health systems strengthening initiatives;

(5) Experience in training, field monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and program reporting;

(6) Familiarity with digital health platforms, and data management systems is desirable;

5. Compensation Offered: Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.

8. NATURE OF Engagement:


The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Fixed Term Employee (FTE) on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time engagement initially offered for a period of four months. The FTE is extendable based on performance and project requirements.
