1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant HR, International Not-for-Profit Organization, New Delhi.

2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Public Health Consultant HR will be responsible for the following tasks:

Key Job Responsibilities: 

(1) Review and Reworking of Scope of Work;
(a) Review the existing Scope of Work and identify gaps, overlaps, or areas requiring clarification;

(b) Rework and refine the Scope of Work, including objectives, activities, deliverables, timelines, roles, and responsibilities;

(c) Ensure the revised Scope of Work is practical, measurable, and aligned with organisational requirements

(2) Design and Development of Templates;
(a) Develop standardised templates, tools, formats, and reporting mechanisms required for the consultancy;
(b) Ensure templates are user-friendly, consistent, and suitable for regular implementation and monitoring;

(c) Incorporate feedback from relevant stakeholders and revise templates as required;

(3) Training and Capacity Building;
(a) Develop training materials and resources based on the consultancy requirements;

(b) Conduct orientation and training sessions for relevant staff and stakeholders on the use of the templates, tools, processes, and reporting formats;

(c) Provide guidance and clarification during implementation;

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications and Experience
(1) The applicant must have a master's Degree in Human Resources, Personnel management, Business Administration, Social Work, or related discipline;

(2) Professional certification in HR or labor law compliance would be an added advantage;

(3) At least 6–8 years of progressively responsible HR experience;

(4) Experience in a healthcare, consulting, not-for-profit, development sector, or corporate environment preferred;

Skills and Competencies:
(1) Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices;
(2) Strong understanding of HR compliance, statutory requirements, and governance frameworks;

(3) Experience in HR audits, compliance assessments, documentation, and corrective action tracking;

(4) Excellent employee relations, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills;

(5) Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities;

(6) Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently;

(7) Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and senior stakeholders

5. CONSULTANCY FEE: Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:

The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of three months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
